Can you receive a peel using topical meds?

Does anyone using topical medications and Keflex PO for acne need to stop the topical medications for two days before a glycolic or salicylic acid peel?

Some antibiotics do sensitize the skin to sun exposure. Wear sunscreen and use a lightening cream such as Melarase AM before and after your chemical peel. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianLos Angeles

Thanks for your query. Topical medications should be stopped before doing a peel as it makes the skin more sensitive and the chance for pih increases. Hope it helps.
