The provided picture is not very clear but basedon it and the provided description of the performed treatment it seem likethis is a normal granular healing tissue, apparently nothing to worry about butstiches do need to be remove regardless if is with your local dentist or not,preferably with your local dentist, but if for any reason needs to be somewhereelse it should be okay just make sure you request an x-rays and consultation ofthat area for progress and control evaluation.
