Before you spend $$ on peels or IPL, try these topicals.

This is called post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).

I recommend Melarase AM and Melarase PM creams from Kare Skin as well as a broad spectrum sunblock like Spectrase. Bothe are from Kare Skin. Scler-x post inflammatory hyperigmentation relief complex is a great supplement to take as well. See link below.

Spectrase is a wide spectrum sunblock SPF 50+that is also recommended to prevent ongoing inflammation.

I suggest posting a photos and getting a formal consultation.  Peels are rarely the treatment for post inflammatory hyperpigmetnation.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Without a photo of the laser burns it is impossible to give the proper advice.  Chemical peels may cause irritation to the burn. Please post photos with questions again.  Best, Dr. Green

The burns have to be totally healed and without seeing you it is impossible to give specific advise but the use of a topical steroid would be advised first. Discuss possible peel after using steroid and then bleaching cream such as hydroquinone and or Konica acid
