CO2 laser resurfacing can improve the appearance of scars, including hypertrophic (lumpy) scars.  However, the location, age, and size of the scar are some of the factors that determine that overall improvement you may, or may not, see after a CO2 laser treatment.I hope this helps.

Yes, it can work for lumpy scars on the face (fully ablative mode), or fractional for both on the face and off the face. Depending on the type of scar, tiny amount of steroid injection can be applied after laser (if it is keloid).All the best, Dr Davin Lim.Laser and aesthetic dermatologist.
