IPL third threatment; can I wear makeup?

I had my third IPL treatment yesterday. This time my dark spots got darker and my skin has that " coffee grind appearance." I'm freaked out! How long does it take to disappear? It looks like dead skin (it doesn't hurt at all). Can I wear make up? I've wearing sunscreen, moisturizer and aloe vera.

Yes, this should be fine. I recommend following up with your cosmetic dermatologist about their protocol regarding make-up after your IPL treatment and after care. I recommend silicone gel with growth factors, light therapy and skin care to give improvement. Laser results can take several weeks to settle. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

The dark spots will flake off in a week or so. In the meantime it is fine to wear makeup. Keep using the sunscreen and moisturizer. Try to relax, you should see the final results in a few weeks.

Make up can be applied immediately after IPL treatment. Your coffee ground  spots actually look just the way they should after treatment. Leave them alone and do not try to peel them off. Eventually they will come off on their on leaving underneath a healthy looking skin. Sun block is a must along with a good skin care protocol.
