Will the cheek nerve that was affected with septoplasty heal?

After a month of throbbing pain on the left side of my nose with numbness on my left cheek and a feeling of pressure my doctor said it is a nerve in my cheek. Will this go away? It’s been 37 days since my surgery. I also have a small visible suture (absorbable) where the incision is an a small area that hurts.

It's hard to answer what is happening without an exam.  I would highly recommend returning to your sinus surgeon as soon as you can.  She or he can look in with an endoscope and get a better idea of what is happening.  You certainly should not be feeling worse after nasal surgery!Best of lu...

The best thing to do is follow the instructions of your surgeon. I don’t have any issues with patients drinking alcohol two weeks after surgery.  Just remember that your nose is still healing and fragile. Don’t drink too much and smash your nose into something which would be most unf...
