Mole burnt from laser hair removal, should I be concerned?

I got my laser hair removal done on my arms and i had a mole there, which got burnt and peeled off after 10-12 days now my mole looks lighter , should i be worried ? I told my issue to my dermatologist, she said not to worry this can happen. Can anyone please advice me on the same ?
