Mole burnt from laser hair removal, should I be concerned?

I got my laser hair removal done on my arms and i had a mole there, which got burnt and peeled off after 10-12 days now my mole looks lighter , should i be worried ? I told my issue to my dermatologist, she said not to worry this can happen. Can anyone please advice me on the same ?

I try to go around moles during LHR treatment. There will be no detrimental effect on the mole with the treatment however. It won't turn it into a cancerous lesion.

The area of a mole should always be avoided.  Laser specialists always go around them. Hopefully it was an accidental occurrence that your area was lazered.  Not to worry.  Next time ask your laser specialist to apply Zinc Oxide paste (Dezitin) on your mole, to better visualizing the mole.

You should not have any problems with the mole that was inadvertently burned by the laser.  Just continue to use excellent sun protection and see your board certified dermatologist for any new or worrisome or changing lesions.
