Fractional Microneedle Resurfacing Can Help Blend Surface Tone & Texture Problems, Such As Stitch Tracks
Medical microneedling (aka fractional microneedle resurfacing) can be helpful for blending a whole variety of skin tone and texture problems, including stitch (railroad) tracks left by previous surgery or trauma repair. Unlike light devices, such as IPL and lasers, which may result in unwanted, blotchy pigmentary irregularities, or even loss of pigment, following treatment, microneedling is "color blind," i.e. it does not ordinarily give rise to any postinflammatory pigmentary irregularities when used in people of color. While complete obliteration of the scars is generally not possible, significant and gratifying improvement may be achieved.
Best to consult with a board certified aesthetic physician with expertise and experience in scar treatments in persons of color. Good luck to you.
