Follow-up re temp flipper: should it resemble my teeth in size and angle? How to convince dentist to resolve? (Photo)

I will be the first to tell you that I am not a fan of flippers and avoid them whenever possible.  I have never met a patient that said, "I love my flipper!"  They are usually aesthetically compromised, affect speech,  and touch the graft or implant despite the dentist's best efforts. A custom temporary or bridge is preferred anytime that it it possible to have one made.  The cost will be more, but the quality of life is much improved.  Not sure if it is possible in your case or not.  Good luck.  

There is no reason you should have a smile you don't like while healing.  I frequently utilize cemented provisional rather than flippers because they look and feel like natural teeth.  This will  add additional costs but it also avoids any pressure on the grafts that can cause problems.I am just starting a case with a patient that needs extensive grafting prior to implant placement and we are constructing an 11 tooth provisional bridge to be worn for two years.  The provisional will be a huge improvement in cosmetics and will aid in ideal placement of implants. Ira L Shapira DDS, D,ABDSM, D,AAPM, FICCMOChair, Alliance of TMD OrganizationsThinkBetterLife.com

as i told u in previous post also, its temporary. and also as dr scott view, i also avoid flippers in many cases, remember its just for few months , and yr main concern is implants not flippers.  and ya , u r looking  beautiful in pic....... enjoy
