2 weeks after LASIK - starbursts and haze around lights. Will this continue to heal and improve over time?

I had LASIK 2 weeks today. I had starbursts before, due to my astigmatism, but now 2 weeks out and I’m still seeing them, but now there’s a glow around the lights ... so they’re kinda worse that before, when I would wear my contacts. Vision wise, I’m 20/20, but I was hoping that the starbursts and haze around lights would have gone away by now (like I was told after my day 1 post op exam). Will this continue to heal and improve over time, or is this going to be the best that it’s going to get ?

I would not recommend LASIK or SMILE if you have dry eye disease. As for the piguencula, you are right o say removal and continue with contact lenses or live with it but proceed with laser vision correction.I would say PRK is a better option for you unless your dry eye disease is very mild and...

Most likely, you are experiencing some residual dryness, which is very common during the first 3 months. Try using moisturizing drops and especially take omega-3 fish oil pills.

Your reaction is not typical, and it should be treated. It might be best if you were examined. Steroids are probably the best treatment, but without an examination it is hard to be sure.
