Getting Married 3 Months After Nose Surgery: Enough Time For Swelling to go Away?

Hello! I will be getting married after 102 days(3months). And before that, I am planning to have a Nose Silicone Implant and Alar Trimming. Is the time enough to recover from swelling and settle? 3months recovery is enough for fully settle. 100 days is enough for press lightly or scrub lightly upon the nose? Please advise. Thanks you.

Nose surgery and recovery time.

Yes, most of  the swelling should be resolved by three months after rhinoplasty.  Some minor swelling can remain for up to one year after rhinoplasty, but your should look very pretty for your wedding photos.  Good luck!

Swelling after rhinoplasty

Generally the majority of your swelling should subside by 3 months and the remainder over 6 months to 1 year.   Some light pressure should be safe after 3 months and an evaluation by your surgeon.   Best of luck. Dr. Michael Omidi

Swollen nose after surgery

Thank you for your question!

It is understandable that you are concerned about the swelling with the big day falling about 3 months after your planned rhinoplasty. Changes after rhinoplasties vary with every patient and what you will be experiencing is normal especially that swelling takes time to subside and it has the capability to mask the results of your surgery.

Usually, a year is required before formulating how your nose will be, but longer with a thick skin. Even then, your nose will keep shaping itself to complement your face for better results in the years to come.

Congratulations on your surgery and wedding. Please remain positive!

Majority of swelling is gone 3 months after rhinoplasty

Three months is an adequate amount of time to allow the majority of the swelling and edema to subside after rhinoplasty surgery.  It is certainly acceptable to have a major social event occur 3 months postoperatively from the time of the rhinoplasty.
