I feel as if someone was pulling my left ear downwards and a muscle starting from the ear goes to the eye and it's pulling my eye downwards. My eye hurts and gets very dry whenever I'm outside, eyedrops don't help at all. My lower eyelid is drooping as well, it didn't used to be so bad but now it's very noticeable and people notice and can't even look at me in the eyes :'(
My upper left eyelid has begun to droop over the past couple years, leaving my eyes looking asymmetrical, especially with my eyelashes growing forward/downward rather then curling up like my right eye. It's been ever so slightly swollen over the years and gets worse when tired. Also my left eye has been very dry for a while now I'm too undergo jaw surgery in roughly 2 years as the left side of my jaw is larger causing TMJ issues including left sided headaches over the eye and cheek pain.
I had ptosis and upper blepharoplasty 3 weeks ago and I am concerned I am still swollen, my lids feel tight and still numb almost like some pins pricking feelings. When I open my lids all the way it hurts. My eyes feel sore and tired. I am also concerned about the scaring. Is this normal?
My right eyelid is oddly shaped. It was re-operated on two months after surgery because of scar issue retracted the eyelash line into a peak. But now I have a peak in the eyelid. It is very tight o the eyelid and sticks to my eyeball all day causing pain. Dr. put plugs in saying that dry eye is the problem. There is no improvement. The original surgery was oddly sewn from the beginning and I questioned Dr. about it. Dr. claims I have an almost perfect result. I do not agree. What can I do?
I had ptosis surgery on both eyelids in 2014. Within 6 weeks I had pain in my right eye. My ocular p/s said dry eye but all tests from 4 docs say no dry eye. I still have the pain/irritation and can't wear my gas permeable contact lens in that eye or eye will swell up and water. My question is why this happens and also whether cataract surgery will do the same thing and irritate it? My left eye has no problems.
Hi doctors,my eyes are messed up,I'm so sad.I had a primary surgery(incisional double eyelid surgery and ptosis surgery)in mid June , few days later follow by a revision surgery. After revision my surgeon left 2 incisions on my left eye and my right eye was over-corrected and peaked shape. It's been 3 months,my swelling isn't going down.and they are still in pain. Is there anything I can do?My right eye is peaked, can its ptosis overcorrection be repaired in the future? Or is it too late for me?
I have tried excercises. how can I get surgery if I can't afford it. I can't see very well. Its slowly getting worse. it is painful all the time to keep it open. It is very embarrassing I can't look at people in the eye. Please help me.
Im 27. I have mild ptosis probably since childhood. Can it be fix? I feel pain in my lift eyelid(ptosis eye) and see double vision in that eye. I am planning to move Sydney as citizen of Aus. If I want to do the surgery, can insurance will cover it.
