If I apply minoxidil 5% every night, get prp with the initial treatments of 3 for the first three months and maintenance treatments every 6 months with a laser light cap (irestore) 3x a week and once a week ketoconazole shampoo which I apply for 10 minutes before washing off once a week can I expect to maintain my hair for the next 10-15 years? I do not like the idea of taking finasteride
I am a 50 yo woman with thin, shoulder length hair and have significant hair loss (female pattern). I have decided to get PRP and am pairing it with Fotona Laser Hair Growth treatment, combined with at home Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) and Hair Science Topical Formulas for hair loss, 82S Shampoo. I do not want to use minoxidil etc. Q: Would getting my hair cut short improve the results? I am willing to buzz it all off if it would help the laser treatments and 82S penetrate my scalp better
I was diagnosed with acute TE approximately 5 weeks ago. Per my hairdresser, I have already lost 30% of my hair. I did see a dermatologist and an internal med physician. All my labs were normal. They both said I could try laser and/or PRP but neither one had an experience with it working for TE. Do you know if the above treatments can help regrow my hair or at least slow the shedding down? Both of the physicians said the schedding can last 3-6 months. Im only 5 weeks in. Help!
My doctors say my thinning/diffuse loss since age 50 results from high estrogen/progesterone deficiency due to hormonal shifts of impending meno. Diagnosis is ED; thyroid readings in the subliclinical hypo range; many other symptoms to support ED diagnosis. Labs showed some nutritional deficiencies (D, B vitamins, fatty acids, antioxidants). After reactions to levothyroxine, am now going on progesterone to balance estrogen. Can I assume laser, PRP, etc. won't work unless I first balance hormones?
I have the above condition. Got PRP 3 sessions since 8 months ago. Have had no result, Hair loss increased in the first PRP session. Now is bit better but overall I can see more scalp. I have a laser cap at home, I use 3 times a week for 30 mins. Does not seem to help much. Will blue light every week help? Cannot use Rogaine as it irritate the scalp. Can anyone advise any other treatment to promote hair growth.
I'd been in Propecia for 3 years and decided to try Lazer Hair Regrowth. After three months of being on laser and three months off Propecia, but continuation of minoxidil, I saw a mass shed of hair to a level worse than it's ever been. I've started Propecia again recently, not enough time to see results. I'm wondering whether PRP will stop the mass shed and help me regrow hair lost during the shed.
I am 68, have always had thin hair, but have noticed slight, general thinning overall of my hair, (maybe especially at the crown, but not sure) for a few years now. I never knew that there was anything that I could do about this, as i just accepted that this was just part of being post-menopausal aging and not willing to take HRT. Can PRP and/ or laser therapy or anything else help me? I can't take minoxidal products, as my BP is nomally not higher than 90/60. so I don't want to risk AE's.
