I notice there are different techniques for PRP which technique is more affective for scarring and traction alopecia for African American woman. PRP Acell, or PRP micro needling or PRP. How do I go about finding an experienced doctor in the state of Michigan. Thanks
I'm a 25 year old African American male. I've been thinning for approx 2 years now due to what I believe is Male Pattern Baldness. Iunderstand that it's important to get a diagnosis first but suggesting that it is MPB causing my hair loss would the PRP procedure be beneficial at all ? From what I understand PRP will help make the thinning hair I already have stronger but wont prevent hair loss itself. With that said what is the best way to strengthen my thinning hair and prevent future balding ?
I had a hair transplant about a year and half ago. My hair is still growing in miniature (due to androgenic alpopecia) and will require me to get prp on my scalp. I just got a chemical perm in my hair. Will PRP still work for me with a perm in me hair? Or should I just get another hair transplant?
African American female experiencing decreased length, density, and growth of hair over the past 5 years. Mostly due to traction alopecia. I've been wearing wigs and styles that haven't been tight or pull on my hair for at least a year now. I have noticed that my hair has started to re-appear slowly around the temples, edges, and nape; but, it still has not reached its full potential. It's always been naturally fine but It was much thicker and would grow really long. Now it is thinning all over.
I'm 20 years old. African American with good hair texture. I started losing my hair around the age of 18. At first I thought it was simply maturing into a rounded hairline, now it seems that might be the case. I haven't been diagnosed, but I fear that it might be MPB. I'm thinking of having a PRP procedure done soon.
