I had PRK in 2005 at 29yrs old. The past 2 years, I have had to wear glasses for nearsightedness. Prescription is at -1.50 on both eyes. I am now considering getting a free retreatment under a lifetime plan that was offered back then. Is it worth it at my age? Would I be a good candidate? Of course, there are requirements that I must meet in order to get the free Enhancement. Since it's technically free, and doesn't lead to their profits, is their decision to retreat, something I can trust?
I am 43 female i was farsighted but one year ago i suffer also from difficulty in reading l have a monovision laser 3 months ago l have perfect close vision few days after surgery but still blurred distance vision Sometimes i feel its become better
Hi! I'm 36 years old and just passed the 1 month mark on my PRK procedure on April 15. I had left eye -4.75, and right eye -3.50. A month after PRK, my left eye is 75/50 and right eye 50/50. What does this mean? My reading is fine, but distance viewing is blurry. While driving, I can't read street signs as well as when I was wearing glasses or contacts. Will this still improve in time? I hope someone can help
I am discussing transprk with my eye laser surgeon. He suggests I might be a candidate for Monovision as I am 37 (38 in December). My correction is -2.75/-3.5 with -0.75 astigmatism (both eyes). When I got the relaxing drops in my eyes I was -1.75/-2.75, so currently overcorrected with glasses/contacts. Does monoviison make sense or am I too young? (Can try it 2 weeks through special contact lenses)
I have had 2 LASIK procedures already (original and one enhancement). Several years since my LASIK enhancement surgery. My right eye has 0.75 of astigmatism. The doctor said he doesn't recommend I do PRK but would do it if I requested. However, he told me PRK is a one time procedure and if I'm not satisfied with the result, I wouldn't be able to do it again. Is this true? If I get PRK now (I'm in my mid 30's), can I do it again (a 2nd time) when I'm in my 50's to treat presbyopia?
I am 39 years old and have had very dry and sore eyes every few days for about 3 years now. My recent check with the ophthalmologist confirmed I have Pinguecula (yellow and blood vessels) and brown pigment in my eyes (not malignant) but I would like to lighten those patches of yellow and brown. Is it true that there are drops that can lighten the brown pigment patch? And what is the best non-invasive treatment for the Pinguecula? Are there drops for that or is the only solution laser/surgery?
