Excellent skin rejuvenation treatments and friendly nurses. The process was quick and almost painless. Skin is looking smooth and healthy. Very cost effective. Will be back again for my second treatment. Thank you
Had my annual top up today with Emma in Bristol. So easy to make the appointment. Rang them and left a message. The nurse, who booked my 3 initial appointments last year, called me back literally 15 minutes later. During the treatment Emma made me feel very relaxed and it was over before I knew it! Before I discovered Nu-V, I was feeling desperate with the awful symptoms of Lichen Sclerosus and bladder issues too. Without trying to sound too dramatic, I feel this treatment has given me back my life. I love the fact that the all the staff are women and therefore very understanding of what you are going through. Without this treatment, I feel I would have been condemned to a lifetime of steroid creams (that weren't even working for me) and bladder controlling tablets. Thank you ladies, I will see you again next year.
Can’t recommend Keran enough. She put me at ease and is gentle and makes you feel very comfortable. She is very friendly and good at her job. Answered all my questions and was very professional. Very satisfied with both the consultation and the treatment. I would highly recommend to anyone especially those who want to avoid going under the knife. The results are already noticeable with no discomfort at all.
HI, CO2 is quite an aggressive treatment that works by stimulating collagen by creating micro injuries when it reacts with water in the tissue. The body heals over time naturally. Once the new collagen building gets into full flow, we know that gently stimulating in new growth phase we can prolong that treatment. Maintenance methods that can be used on a 6-8 week basis to maintain the results of the more aggressive treatment would include mild chemical peels to keep the skin rejuvenation and cell turnover going, or micro-needling with the addition of nutrient serums. Using your own platelets and growth factors (PRP) are very effective too, with very little downtime. Good skin care and sun protection will help. With skin, less is more. If you keep harshly damaging the skin, there is risk of introducing too much heat or trauma and stimulating the wrong type of collagen as your practitioner rightly advises. Also more aggressive treatments can cause sun damage to be more aggressive, effectively undoing all the good work.
Hi Sammy, There's a lot of information that a clinician needs to gather before being able to advise the best and most suitable course of action. Laser vaginal rejuvenation may benefit but we would need to chat further to discuss your baby delivery history, gynae and medical history, and of course a full examination to feel the muscle tone, skin internally and externally. These give us a fuller picture to be able to advise. Surgery isn't always the first place to start, especially if you are considering having another baby in the future. A good clinic should have an initial telephone consultation with their patients to discuss these topics, which would help develop an initial assessment to explore your history and explain the treatment and how it works as well as suitability. Treatments should be ideally be carried out in a medical clinic by female clinicians with women's health backgrounds. It is worth remembering this procedure will require maintenance as we get older.
