4 Q&A

Q: Will ThermiVa only last one year even if I dont have sex?
Answered by Dr. HayesJanuary 31, 2019

A: ThermiVa is a great approach to freshening up our vagina and vulva and tightening lightly, increasing blood flow and kicking up moisture, It is a fabulous treatment that helps our vajayjay stay at her best. The collagen and tightness will be helped in a way similar to microdermabrasion helps the face. It will not sustain it's changes if we only do  one series. The skin will benefit from intermittent maintenance treatments to retain your good results.

Q: Help! Labiaplasty infection? 4 days post.
Answered by Dr. HayesApril 19, 2017

A: It's hard to see anything going on out of the ordinary from your photo. It appears there is no infection and that the bubbles are from the technique your surgeon used. If you are concerned, you should definitely talk to your surgeon to put your mind at ease. Best of luck in your healing process.

Q: Is there any way to make inner labia smaller without surgery? (photo)
Answered by Dr. HayesOctober 11, 2016

A: Hello tsudaime,
First of all, it's sad to hear that you are disgusted with yourself. There are as many different shapes and sizes of labia as their are women. All normal. And nothing to be disgusted by. However when the labia get in the way of you having an enjoyable sex life, either because they get caught and pulled in during sex, are painful, or because you are insecure about how you look down there and don't feel totally self expressed, then labiaplasty surgery is the best solution. Be sure to go to someone that is experienced and gets the good results you are looking for. Best of luck.

Q: I had a labiaplasty 6 days ago but my bruising seems to have only appeared from day 4. Is this normal?
Answered by Dr. HayesSeptember 27, 2016

A: Bruising is a normal part of the healing process. You may continue to look different daily as you continue to heal over the next 6 weeks. We oftentimes show patients, in photos, how healing after the procedure can evolve so they are not alarmed when they see changes happening. Follow your surgeons after care and best of luck.
