After gaining and losing 65+ pounds due to a long, 5 year battle with Lyme disease, a pituitary tumor and hypothyroid disease, I finally started to feel better health wise so I decided to do something for myself and get my cheek and lips done since my health issues & weight loss aged me. I had my cheek filler done elsewhere (thank god) but I saw this spa had a special going for a syringe of Versa. Over a year later, I'm still majorly regretting this decision. After my lips were injected, before I even left the office , I felt MAJOR lumps and bumps that never went away. I've never had lumps following lip filler so I voiced my concern to the injector and she said they would go down over the next few weeks as the filler relaxes into shape. Well that never happened. So I called 2 weeks later and voiced my concerns to whoever answered my call & asked to come in for a follow up. When I showed up to my follow up, the girl who did my lip injections didn't even have the correct patient file.. and it was this whole thing I won't go into. I told her about all the lumps, bumps and major unevenness/asymmetry of my lips on a whole (and that I had a GIANT lump on the inner side of my upper lip that is STILL there over a year later). The events following this solidified that they give zero craps about their customers, customer retention or even if their clinic gets bad reviews. Cause they know they can continue to push "new patient specials" and get new people in the door. Anyway, after voicing my concerns to the injector, (btw, I don’t think they ever did find my patient file), the first thing she said was that no one has asymmetrical lips (um isn’t that the point of lip filler??), and that they "looked fine to her" and that the lump on the inside of my lip (which she felt and acknowledged was definitely there, along with the other lumps) “should eventually go down” (what happened to few weeks??). I started to cry because she made it obvious she wasn't going to do anything to fix my lips and she immediately walked out of the room without saying a word. After what felt like an eternity, she returned with a co-worker who literally started her sales pitch with: “we can melt them down. It’s probably just time to start fresh (and then she told me that would be around $500 per treatment and that i’d need multiple). I explained that I’ve only had my lips done 4 times since starting filler in 2015, and even then, my lips were already on the bigger side so I've always only done half a syringe, sometimes less. They both simply looked at each other and I could tell that they were irritated. So the co-worker stated “look at my lips, I get lip filler and mine are asymmetrical. Yours look fine to me”and did everything but push me out of the rooms And that was that. They did nothing to fix my lips and since paid so much for this procedure, I can't afford to get them fixed. It's beyond noticeable. So much so that people have pointed out the asymmetry. Oh side note: after I started crying, and the injector went and got her co-worker, she never said another word to me. She just stood there. Obviously bugged. No apology. No “thanks for coming in”. Just stood there like I was this giant annoyance and she couldn't wait to get me out of the office so she could move on to her next new patient special. Either way, I left and cried the entire drive home and off and on for several weeks afterwards. When something seems too good to be true (like Venus Med Spa’s new patient specials), it’s because it is. In the long run, it’ll cost you more to get your lips fixed than getting them done. Ladies, embrace what you have and learn to love it instead of making the mistake I did.
