I was very scared to try VI Peel because I have incredible sensitivity to everything. Jamie my esthetician assured me I would be fine and she was right it felt more like a sunburn and I was really red for 5 days. The VI Peel aftercare cream really helped a lot with the burning and itching. I stared to peel on day three and it was very light. It has definitely made my skin smoother and surfaced a belmish. It was nice to try. I may just stick to derma blade and hydra facials.
Upon arriving to the office I was taken back almost immediately. I was placed in a treatment room and had numbing cream applied to my face. After about 40 minutes I was numb and given a full description of the process once again. I had many options to help with the discomfort on top on the cream. To say the zimmer was a little piece of treasure would be an understatement. The cold air that blasted from the machine was a great combative for the needling. The nitronox(which is similar to a laughing gas) was also an option I took full advantage of. Overall level of pain I would place it at a 5.5 - 7 depending on that area of the face. Throughout the procedure, I was asked if I was okay or if I needed a break. After 45 minutes or so it was complete. I was talked through the aftercare. Within days my face was on its way to healing. After two weeks I was fully healed and could see the biggest difference. My skin is visibly smoother and fine lines have diminished. Absolutely worth it. The staff at University Park Dermatology and Medical Spa was nothing less than accommodating and caring.
