Skin Rejuvenation
Q Best product or treatment for onset of crepey skin?
A

After using ALASTIN Skincare’s Restorative Neck Complex with TriHex Technology, patients have shown a significant reduction in crepiness of the neck without any skin-tightening procedures. This product is a next generation skin tightener that addresses crepey skin, fine lines and wrinkles, and photo-aged discoloration on the neck and décolleté area. The proprietary TriHex Technology helps support the production of new, healthy elastin and collagen, and contains a blend of peptides and key botanicals that also work to address skin texture, tone, laxity, and redness.

Sclerotherapy
Q Can blue veins be removed from legs?
A

Depending on the size and condition of your veins, there are several safe and effective options to eliminate unsightly appearances of leg veins. Minimally invasive treatments called Endovenous Laser Treatment (EVLT) and Ambulatory Microphlebectomy can remove the larger veins that protrude the surface of your skin. For the smaller blue and purple veins, another minimally invasive treatment called Sclerotherapy can be used. However, it is important to note that the appearance of these veins can be an indicator that you have a more serious condition called venous insufficiency which is progressive and should be addressed first to avoid reoccurring and advanced vein problems.

Asclera
Q Asclera - Downtime? Pain? Results?
A

Using Asclera for Sclerotherapy is a great way to treat spider veins on all areas of the leg including your ankles and feet. It is a popular treatment and is most effective when used to treat smaller, more tortuous veins that are closer to the skin's surface. This treatment requires no downtime and minimal discomfort during the procedure. In terms of results, patients experience relief from the burning, itching pain that was causing so much of their discomfort as well as relief from the unsightly nuisances! However, often times the presence of spider veins can be an indication that there is more severe underlying venous insufficiency that should be addressed. Even for a simple procedure such as sclerotherapy, it is important to see a licensed practitioner who is an expert in treating chronic venous insufficiency.

Asclera
Q Can I have sclerotherapy Asclera on my ankles and feet?
A

You can have SCLEROTHERAPY with Asclera on all areas of the leg including your ankles and feet. With that being said, it is important to see a licensed practitioner who is an expert in treating chronic venous insufficiency. Often times seeing spider veins on the ankles and feet is an indication that there is more severe underlying venous insufficiency that needs to be addressed first. Treating the underlying disease will make the SCLEROTHERAPY more effective and long lasting. You also want to see someone who is very familiar with the vascular anatomy of the ankle and foot. The skin in that area is very fragile with very little underlying subcutaneous fatty tissue. This makes it prone to ulceration if the injections are performed improperly.
