Ultherapy

Not As Painful As I Thought It Would Be

I took the plunge and had the Ultherapy procedure on March 5, 2019 on my lower face. I was nervous because of all the reviews saying how painful it was to them and I took 440 mg of Naproxen about an hour or so before the procedure. All in all, I found that it wasn't as bad as I thought, although a few times it did make me wince. It felt like hot little pinches. The first transducer was the deepest and the 2nd transducer was more shallow, with respect to the energy penetration. The 2nd transducer didn't bother me at all. Afterwards, my cheeks were a little red and the area under my chin was a little numb and sensitive to touch. The redness went away by the time I got home but I developed a couple little bruises along my jawline near my chin on the left side of my face. For some reason, I had more areas of pain on the left side of my face. The whole procedure took about an hour and a half. Now the waiting game starts. I hope it works. Updated on 9 Apr 2019: I thought I'd post an update on my Ultherapy results. I don't see much change so far but that is to be expected. It does feel like my jowls are getting smaller and it seems like there is less "droop" in my lips. Not sure why what would be unless there is some tightening going on. All the bruising is gone and there is no more tenderness in the areas like the jawline. All the numbness is gone. I'll try and post updates a month apart. Updated on 30 May 2019: June 5th will be 3 months and I will post pictures after I have them taken at Tuscan Sun, as well as my own. I'm still not sure if I see much improvement but they did tell me 3-6 months before I would notice so I'll keep a positive outlook for now. Updated on 5 Jun 2019: This is a photo 3 months after my procedure. Still not sure if I see much improvement. I'll keep waiting since I was told that it could take 6 months before I see any results. I'll keep posting monthly updates. I am going back to Tuscan to get my "official" 3 month photos on June 7th. Updated on 8 Jul 2019: Ok, here is my 4 month update. As with all my photos, I'm not wearing any makeup so it's scary...lol. All in all I am noticing some subtle changes for the better. I really hope my face continues to tighten over the next few weeks. We shall see.
