I am a current patient of Dr. King at “Trinity Health and Wellness Center” in Roseville CA for the past 7 years because he is my primary care doc and he is so brilliant about everything that has been happening regarding my general health and medical care including a recurring skin condition. So as soon as I heard that Dr King would finally open a Medical Spa in here Roseville ( www.TrinityMedicalSpa.com) I knew I would be one of his first clients. After talking to Dr. King and the nurses we all came to the conclusion that Ultherapy would be the best procedure and for me and so Dr. King created a special treatment plan which included my face, part of my neck, eyes, and with special attention around my eyes because of those little lines you get at the corners of your eyes from laughing too much. Then I spoke with the office manager who gave me a 30% off discount on the whole treatment which saved me over a grand, so you know that made my day. 48 hours before my Ultherapy appointment the nurse from Trinity called to remind me to not take anything I’m not supposed to and asked if I had any questions or concerns. She also reminded me that if I thought I would need any anti-anxiety medication that she could call it in for me and that I could pick it anytime prior to my appointment, but I didn’t need any. On the day of the procedure I was really nervous and wished I’d taken them up on the anxiety medication but it was too late. The nurse preps me, we take before pictures, a numbing cream was put on my face and wiped off 15-20 minutes later, followed by the nurse draws on my face marking where she will use the device that does the ultrasound and then we begin......... I don’t know what I was expecting but it was not what I felt. This was totally different than anything I have ever experienced, not painful in any way, there were a few areas that were a little more sensitive than others but I would not describe them as painful in any way. The ultrasound feels very weird-like, almost sort of a numb-tingling (it’s something that just really has to be experienced to be understood, words escape me). If I had to rate Ultherapy’s ultrasound beam (for lack of a better term) on a pain scale of 1-10 with 10 being worst, I would say that the treatment ranged between 0-2 for about 90% for the procedure, 2-3 for 98% and a 4 for 2%, (in the few instances when the nurse came too close to an area that was too sensitive like near my temple, or near my ear) but very few . I was reminded to take 2 ibuprofen 800mg and they put a numbing cream on and that did the trick. After the treatment which lasted well over two hours (with breaks) The nurse cleaned my face and my husband and I went to dinner and a movie. The next day, after the Ultherapy procedure there was some puffyness and tenderness in the areas where the nurse paid special attention to. She called and said that it was to be expected and also that I might bruise but I did not experience any bruising just mild tenderness and swelling. I had zero pain the day after and did not need anything for pain control. Ok so I know the researchers and scientist and such say you have to wait 3-6 months for the results and even a full year for the full effect but my husband looked at me tonight after almost 3 weeks post Ultherapy procedure and said that I looked stunning like when we dated in High School, FREAKING HIGH SCHOOL!!! Like for real! This Ultherapy treatment is so amazing that I’m saving up to do my neck early next year and Dr King better have a appointment ready for me because 2019 will be MY YEAR (the year of Gina!) and I will be looking & feeling SO fearce thanks to my doc and my Ultherapy.
