I have wanted a breast augmentation since I was a teenager, and have put more than a decade of research in. I wanted to ensure my doctor was well experienced and educated, and decided to meet with Dr. Ricciardelli for a consultation. Upon arriving at the consultation, I was almost immediately taken back to the examination room. Dr. Ricciardelli took some measurements and asked me what outcome I was looking for. I had extremely constricted breasts and they were quite small for my frame. He explained that in his opinion, the best option for me would be Natrelle implants over the muscle. He went through the procedure and recovery information and answered all of my questions. We then met with Julie Lucas, the Plastic Surgery Care Coordinator. She is extremely personable and made us feel extremely comfortable. We tested out different implant sizes, discussed the financial aspect of the procedure, and booked my surgery. The day of the surgery I arrived and met with the nurses, anesthesiologist, and Dr. Ricciardelli. I was taken in to the operating room and remember Dr. Ricciardelli holding my hand as I went under. My procedure took about an hour and a half. I woke up in the recovery room and the nurse was extremely kind and attentive. My husband met me soon after and we were given instructions regarding the drains, my medication, and the general limitations that I needed to follow. I am not going to lie, the first four days were very rough. I was in a lot of pain and was very tired. I was given some pain killers, muscle relaxers, and antibiotics to take. The drains were the most uncomfortable part of the procedure in my opinion. I went to my first follow up appointment (a few days post op) and had the drains removed. I almost cried. I was so happy to have them out and instantly felt so much better. I had my surgery on Mon. June 17th and was back at work the following Monday. Since returning to work, there is the occasional discomfort due to some minor bruising. As of now, it has been over two weeks since my procedure and I could not be happier. My results are EXACTLY what I have always wanted. I am more confident and am enjoying the body I have always dreamt of. If you are considering using Dr. Ricciardelli and Summit Plastic Surgery, I would highly recommend them. They have made me comfortable from the beginning, answered all my questions, have amazing bedside manners, and are true educated professionals.
