I went to Dr Griffin because my normal Botox and filler doctor was not available and I have never regretted anything more it makes me sick to even give her one star. Never go to Dr Griffen she completely ruined my lips, charged me 800 dollars for filler I did not get in my cheekbones!!! Then when I went back to try and have it fixed and get my records and my money back to go to my normal Dr. I was attacked by 4 grown women in one tiny room. She would not take responsibility for her mistake even through the before and after photo was extremely obvious!! All the women started swearing and yelling at my including Dr Griffen telling me to go [RS bleep] myself and she doesn’t give a [RS bleep] about me and will call the police if I don’t leave the offices. All in all I was charged 2000 dollars to be deformed and spoken to like I have never been spoken to in my life. I explained to Dr Griffin in the first appointment that I was coming back from 4 years of horrible spine surgeries for a rare spinal condition and was trying to get my life back starting with some confidence with my looks. And not only did she completely deform my lips, my eyebrows are far to high, charge me for services I did not get and I was verbally abused by Dr Griffin and her staff as I was seated I had 4 grown women yelling at me in a tiny room and the Dr herself telling me to go [RS bleep] myself. These are horrible people and I sooooo soooo regret ever going. If you are thinking about having work done do not go go to her!! I have never been treated so horribly!! My normal Dr is Gary Novatt and his assistant Claire I have been going to them for ten years for Botox and filler and have always loved my results!! He is wonderful and Claire is so kind and makes sure you are 100% happy go to them!! Not this horrible women, I have never been charged so much and I have never had this horrible of results and then to be treated that way, I left traumatized sobbing and shaking. We will be proceeding with legal action.
If you are getting any type of facial treatment done, sun exposure should always be limited before and after treatment to prevent possible hypo- or hyperpigmentation. While each provider will have a different policy for the exact number of days/weeks sun needs to be avoided before and after treatment, 2 weeks is a good rule of thumb. Wearing sunscreen and a hat are great ways to avoid unwanted sun exposure on the face during facial treatments.
RF microneedling can help strength the skin by producing collagen and elastin. If your skin is thinner, your provider should use a more superficial needle depth to avoid going too deep. Sensitive skin may turn more red from microneedling, but in the end the treatment should help strength your skin overall
There are studies to show that the addition of RF will improve your results. It is hard to put actual dollar amounts on the benefit. I understand your dilemma. Perhaps try one microneedling RF with the additional of TCA Cross on the larger boxcar/icepick scars and then make a decision on your next treatment. Pick a provider that is flexible and will work with your budget. Best of luck.
There is evidence that relaxing the orbicularis oris muscle with a small amount of neurotoxin placed at the vermillion border can evert the lip a few mm. and increase the "pink show" of your lip, and effectively decrease the length from your nose to your lip. The effect in any given patient patient is variable, and one just has to give it a try to see. It will only last a couple of months if you do not like it. It will not result in a longer, flatter lip. Your lip will just return to its pre-neurotoxin state. On the other hand, there is no solid scientific evidence that microcurrent treatments actually accomplish anything at all, even though you are "feeling" something when the current is applied.
Hello,
The best treatment plan for acne scars would be 3 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart. The collagen and elastin stimulation to fill in those acne scars would best be served 4 weeks apart. Waiting 5 months in between is too long for the ongoing treatments to benefit each other.
