Invisalign provides a variety of packages, each of which includes a different number of trays and refinements. To further complicate matters, these packages are constantly evolving as Invisalign tries to be more competitive with their pricing. Consequently, some packages include refinements, and others do not. The package your dentist / orthodontist selects is based on the presumed complexity of your case. Unfortunately, orthodontics is not an exact science, so it is always a bit of a gamble when we are determining which package to use for each case. If your dentist is charging for a new ClinCheck, my assumption is that they selected a package that did not include additional refinements.

I can understand why you would be concerned, but fear not, Invisalign is a very safe method of aligning teeth, and your dentist has likely encountered other patients who required refinements during treatment as most of us have. Moving teeth can be complicated and at times unpredictable. As advanced as Invisalign and its treatment simulations (ClinCheck software) are, they still can't perfectly predict the future. Also, there is variability between patients which can be due to a wide variety of reasons.

Your main question was whether it would be harmful to continue to change Invisalign trays, and the short answer is no, it is extremely unlikely to cause harm to your teeth. However, it may become difficult, if not impossible to change your trays if the teeth get too far behind the trays. So, it is important that you and your dentist come up with a plan to revise the treatment plan quickly.

In making your final decision, I recommend that you consider the following things:
1. Your natural canines don't match. The canine on your right side has a youthful, pointy cusp. The canine on your left side has been blunted / flattened. If you want these to match, you may want to consider doing all 6 veneers.
2. You are requesting BL1 shade. Maintaining a bright BL1 on your natural teeth to match your veneers can be difficult. Considering that your front 6 teeth make up the majority of your smile, any transition from the BL1 shade of the veneers to a differing shade of your posterior natural teeth will be less obvious.
3. Doing 6 veneers makes it much easier for your dentist and lab to achieve ideal proportions.
