SSB has been a great experience for me from beginning to end. I started out having my consultation with Brooke for a tummy tuck and Lipo and it went perfectly. I scheduled my surgery with no problems and the staff was great throughout the entire process. I was very anxious about the surgery but Dr. Fig was very reassuring and the surgery went very well. I am in my fourth week of recovery and I feel amazing. They have answered all my questions and concerns, have reminded me of all my post op appointments and I could not be more satisfied with the service and care I’ve received. Thank you SSB for making me feel sexy once again!

I've been doing research for over two ears nd o finally found my doctor Emily Jiles at smart shape body's. I'm super excited and nervous also scared. Anyone out there having surgery on the same day md location?? Updated on 21 Jun 2020: Ouuu I’m so excited and nervous next weekend it’s all going down Updated on 9 Jul 2020: Had surgery yesterday and I feel great draining very well able to use the bathroom taking all my medicine and stool softener. I get my first massage today can't wait. Looking forward to taking a shower!! Updated on 23 Feb 2021: My dr did recommend me to have a tummy tuck but I was scared to go under so much at once but overall I love the way she reshaped my butt n waist since I already had a canvas to work with! I will say I'll be back to see her for a tummy tuck next year!!

I've been researching lipo for at least 2-3 years. I finally decided to get a consultation and the price I was quoted... insane! I had only seen those prices in Beverly Hills, literally. I was shocked to say the least. Then I decided to consult with 2nd best in my opinion. The price was 1/3 of my prior quote. I definitely made sure I did my due diligence before booking this doctor. So far everything is going smoothly. Updated on 6 Jun 2020: I wanted a flat stomach and perky boobs. I have both. But I’m so sore. I’ve had 2 c-sections so not my first rodeo. But omg no matter how many reviews I’ve read it’s not comparable to actually going thru it. What I will say is I have zero regrets using Dr. Miles. He was amazing. So patient and kind spirit. He even prayed with me before my procedure. If it wasn’t for Dr. Miles I would not have gone through with the procedure. Now I can’t wait to get back to my self. It hurts to move. Specifically laying down and standing up. I’ll be back to post as time goes on. Updated on 17 Jun 2020: So I went back for my one week follow up. All they did was ultrasound and pictures. I did not meet with Dr. Miles as I was told I would. Customer service is lacking when it comes to meeting expectations. They are polite but being polite isn’t everything. I’ve also had to do all the follow up myself since leaving messages doesn’t get you a response. I’m still having swelling and water retention. Found a massage place closer to home with better hours so I’m excited about that. I do my own massages for 30 minutes every night. When I wear compression panties I don’t have swelling. It’s when I wear the faja. Yes, I’ve tried 2 sizes. I will probably go back to my fajas in a week. But it is true the first week is the hardest. If you make it past that you’re going to be okay. I am still sleeping on a boppy and not able to compress my boobs. I will update photos at the one month mark. Updated on 23 Jun 2020: So still haven’t had my post op. Apparently I was scheduled and was a no show but no one bothered to call, email, or text me anything about my appointment. I rescheduled to a little over a month from my surgery date. I will update in that after my appointment. It was much better after week one. Now I’m fully two weeks post op. I had 2 ultrasound appointments. The massage girl didn’t do lymphatic massage for my 24 hour post op massage because I had no drainage. Amazingly every incision is completely healed. I found a massage place closer to home so I’m very thankful for that. My massage therapist is excellent and tailored the massage to my needs. I have a few more to go then I’ll be done with my 6 recommended post op massages. I plan to finish it off with an ultrasound at Smart Shapes.

I chose Smart Shape and Dr. Fig because I liked his BBL pics. The office and staff is definitely unorganized, the address listed on their website is wrong (he's actually in a cramped 2nd floor space on MLK) and they overbooked because I waited an hour past my consultation time. However, Dr. Figuredo seemed nice when I met him and he seemed confident he could give me what I was looking for, so I booked the appointment. I was told to arrive for surgery at 6am, because I was the first case of the day. When I got there no one was there yet until 6:10am and then they had another patient scheduled ahead of me! I confirmed the night before, so this was definitely an error on their part. So I sat there waiting until 9:30 (yes, 3.5 hours of sitting there when I could have slept in longer) and then my surgery began around 9:45. I'm 5 days post-op and feeling good, bruising isn't too terrible, except a few spots on my butt (and I do beuise easily), but I've been taking arnica and bromelain. My waist looks smaller, I can tell there's an hourglass shape, so I can't wait to see the real results in 3 months when all the swelling is gone. All the nurses and OR staff were great and treated me well, I felt safe. They knew what they were doing and were friendly. The main reasons for my 3 star review is front office staff disorganized, multiple texts and duplicates from different people. Like one hand didn't know what the other was doing, poor management. And the surgery day error of having me show up at 6am when someone was ahead of me! That was the worst part, because I could not eat or drink and it was cold inside and I was tired. Plus I confirmed the night before, so how did that even happen?? Updated on 22 Nov 2021: My liposuction looks pretty good and I see improvements as time goes on, but the BBL is not so good. I had my post op today and Dr. Fig agrees it could use more volume and be evened out. The downside is I have to pay for operating and anesthesiologist costs. Once I reach 3 months he will lipo my banana roll and inner thighs to harvest fat for my butt. Hopefully I can achieve the desired results.

I had 360 Liposuction and JPlasma with Dr. Fig while he was at SmartBody, and my experience was nothing short of a nightmare. I went in hopeful and followed all of his post-operative instructions to the letter, including purchasing 4 massage packages (32 sessions) and wearing a Faja for over a year. Unfortunately, the results were disastrous. My stomach is now full of fibrosis, and I have significant dark pigmentation—issues that I never had before surgery. I want to stress that Dr. Fig is not board-certified, which is a major red flag. I wish I had done more research before going to him. His technique was overly aggressive, which only contributed to my poor outcome. I was left looking worse than when I entered his clinic. In addition to the botched procedure, Dr. Fig's behavior was unprofessional and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. He was overly flirtatious, to the point where it felt like sexual harassment. This added an emotional layer of stress to an already traumatic experience. To make matters worse, my before-and-after photos were featured on his social media, but they were heavily photoshopped, misrepresenting the actual results. It felt like a complete violation of trust. Please, do yourself a favor and choose a different surgeon. This has been a painful and costly lesson, and I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone.

On Aug 24 I had “lipo, BBL, j plasma” and it looks TERRIBLE. Every single part of this experience has been horrible. I was originally scheduled on August 25 for a Mommy Makeover, In the plan was to go back for the BBL and lipo. 48 hours before my surgery they decided that they didn’t think I needed a tummy tuck, and told me they were completely switching my surgery and my surgeon (whom I had never met). Last minute scramble to have a consultation with a completely different surgeon for a completely different procedure that I was not prepared for it. I felt bullied and pressured into agreeing, despite all the red flags. I have been to multiple consultations in Southern California before we moved here to Florida, every plastic surgeon office told me that I’m a horrible candidate for liposuction, but my problem is all the extra skin. So why were they changing on it so last minute? I was completely panicked. Also factoring in the fact that I had already started paying for these procedures, with a loan of $15,000. Long story short, I had the liposuction and BBL and it was horrible. My skin is absolutely atrocious, I have bumps and lumps everywhere despite getting all the massages and wearing all the compression . You can never get a hold of somebody there! I never even had an actual follow up appointment with Dr. Fig. My BBL results are not at all what I had wanted, the point was for me to get my hip dips filled in. That absolutely did not happen. I am more embarrassed now than I was before. Now that I am finally healed, I am trying to find a way to feel better about the situation, seeing as how I still have another $9000 I have already paid for for surgeries I didn’t have. They’re trying to schedule me for the breast lift and augmentation with now a third doctor, whom I have never met. Come to find out he is not even board-certified. Literally every single part of this establishment is a scam. They won’t give me my money back for surgery I never even had, and I am not happy whatsoever with the results of the surgery I did have. RUN RUN RUN!!!! The prices are cheap because the quality is absolutely horrible, this place is not safe! Please please run!

This place is horrific, I weighed 140lbs, had a bbl & my stomach is lumpy, it looks awful. Bad liposuction can result in a bumpy or lumpy appearance. I did my part & wore my faja, did the massages but nothing helped, SSB refused to assist me, their motto should be profits over patients. Once they get your money you are on your own, they will ignore you & give you the runaround. Please research this place before doing any business with them, a BBL has a fatality rate of 1 in 3000. You want to have a great support system and have a highly trained doctor. A Plastic Surgeon is better trained and more qualified than a Cosmetic Surgeon!! My experience with Smart Shape Body, Dr. Fig and Dr. Luria was less than stellar. I had Lipo 360 and inner thigh lipo with BL/BA on the morning of February 23, 2021. Unfortunately, by that evening I was in the ICU, having been transported their via ambulance from the SSB facility. While there I had to receive several blood transfusions after my blood pressure and hemoglobin levels dropped FATALLY low. The doctors actually advised my friend to prepare for the worst, as my organs were on the verge of shutting down. Thankfully, the medical staff at St. Joseph's took great care of me and I was released from the hospital on Friday, February 26, 2021. Even after that ordeal, I didn't badmouth SSB and even ignorantly accepted their explanation, which suggested that they were not at fault - it was merely a rare complication, not due to negligence or poor practices. However, in the ensuing months I received no followups with Dr. Fig, the responses to my calls and texts became non-existent. Meanwhile, my breasts started to harden, look deformed and had become painful. Dr. Luria simply advised that I increase my Vitamin E intake and keep massaging. Finally, on June 21st, 2021 he admitted that I now have capsular contracture in BOTH breasts. I refused his offer to perform an additional surgery on me to "try and break up the capsule". Instead, I insisted that I get my money back so that I could move forward with removing these now EXTREMELY painful implants. I was told that someone from the administrative staff would be in touch to resolve the issue. Of course, that never happened. Thankfully, I was able to initiate a dispute with CareCredit and comprehensively present supporting documentation. Yesterday, July 9th, I was credited EVERY SINGLE CENT that I paid to that unprofessional facility that I trusted my body and life with. In addition to that, I was informed that based on their findings, CareCredit has now terminated their agreement with SSB, making them ineligible providers going forward. And for the record, I'm STILL waiting on admin (Vilisity Stow/Tyler Smith/Mary Stupia) to contact me to resolve my situation.... RUN FAR FROM THIS PLACE!! FAR!!!!!!!

FYI! They are hiding my comments on Google, declining my posts, and removing my comments from the group on Facebook! They don't want anyone to know about those that had horrible experiences. Below is the review hidden on Google: "I'm sure the reason the review is 4.5 stars because there are many women afraid to come forward. I was one, but I'll share the foundation of my complaint. 1. If I could give zero stars I would! 2. The organization is unorganized, unprofessional, and dehumanize their patients. 3. The facility does not operate in professional medical standards. There was blood splatters on the walls and a bloody blood pressure cuff I requested be removed from the pre-op room several times. It never was. 4. I waited over four hours the day of surgery. Additionally, I had to reach out after hours for the time to arrive the day of surgery. NO ONE CONTACTED ME! 5. I was placed in the wrong faja, it was also too tight and causes numbness to my extremities. This may have hindered the already horrible job performed by Dr. Fig! 6. The staff intentional ignored me several times and their charting system is non existent. Also, I've requested my medical records over a month ago and I don't have them 7. They are inconsistent in pricing! I was offered a revision for an additional $2K, but they offer others revisions for free. 8. I was offered close to all of my money back as a refund, but when I advised I was going to have my attorney review the release before I sign, they voided the release. 9. I have a strong reason to believe the facility was not licensed to perform my surgery based on a document found online. 10. They censor individuals in the group that don't have stories that glorify the clinic and it's affiliated doctors. This is just the surface. There are women with stories that you wouldn't believe. I would not recommend any recieve ANY type of service with SSB! RUN AWAY!"

I would not recommend this crazy place. Its on the lower side of all surgery facilities. You will be waiting for hours while they double and maybe triple book your appointment. I went ahead with the BBL experience without researching other Doctors and facilities. It was awful! Not only did it all go away after 3-6 months but I got an infection! This is not the place for people who want top service , care and results. The post care was not there and Jordan tried to resale me another bbl package of $6,000.00. I did this with a couple of my friends and they too hate their results. Unfortunately, both my friends and I have infections. This is a nasty place. Do not GO if you care!
