I recently lost my job and could not afford a full 20 unit Botox on my forehead where I normally go. I saw The Skin Agency's Groupon for 20 units (which is the amount of units I always do per session every 3-4 months since May 2017) and purchased it after researching pretty good reviews. I made an appointment for February 4th, which was the soonest (about 2-3 weeks out). I came in and was seen by Anna, who was sweet, but noticed her attention was right back to her phone right after she was done with you. It felt a bit inconsiderate. Everything was done as normally during a botox introduction (i.e.: concern areas, how long have you been getting Botox, medical background, etc). When injected with the 20 units in my forehead I noticed it was only placed in the top half of my forehead, and felt it was only injected a few spots rather than multiple spots (meaning up to around 10+). Anna distributed the 20 units heavily in just a few spots on the top half of my forehead. It just didn't feel right. Again, I've had Botox before and with me see differences after a few days. I understand usually after a week and sometimes upwards to 2 weeks until its full effect. But what I have been seeing happening to my forehead was the top half being smooth and the bottom half wrinkly (where it was not touched). The wrinkles are heavy and Spock like. It's a very insecure feeling to have and does not make me feel good when talking to people. I've been patiently trying to stay positive with the botox progression hopefully having the full 20 units kick in throughout and minimize these Spock wrinkles above my eyebrows, but only again see the top being improved. Too much was injected in the top half as again, I've always had 20 units and never any complaints. I lost my job and I was trying to be financially smart while trying to get what I was hoping a good Botox session on my forehead. I mentioned it to Anna that I was concerned about it just being injected on the top half, which she mentioned that it was more a way for her to be conservative and I can always come back and touch up (again, the point was I always got 20 and never had to get more). I called up today and spoke with manager Kim. After speaking with her and trying to be polite about the situation, her feedback was that I had to get more and that she is "24 years old and gets 34 units". She said there is nothing she can do. It was more of feeling as an attack on me that I just have to get more units because that's how it works, rather than understanding the bad distribution of the botox I was given. I am very unhappy and this is also EXACTLY a PERFECT reason on not using Groupon on med spa services. Possibly with Groupon customers The Skin Agency uses a different approach with Botox so the customer has to come back, or dissolve their botox so it is not the full 20 units. I cried afterwards today after getting off the phone with Kim and had to make an appointment this evening where I normally go to fix their problem. Basically, what I had paid to The Skin Agency and now what I will have to pay to where I normally go will cost me more out of pocket than if I went to where I normally go to with what I pay for 20 units. I lost money in the end, time, and a bad botox job. One star only goes to the front desk girls being nice and courteous. Photo is also attached taken just now. Kim, I also did not mention to you, but I've my top forehead has been having a burning sensation and uncomfortable since this session. It does not feel like other sessions I've had. Again, too much was injected in one spot.
