I am so pleased with the results of the botox injections i received from Setty Plastics, specifically performed by Lindsey Burris. She is extremely thorough in her consultation and makes sure to listen to your desired results to assure a positive experience. I recommend Setty Plastics to anyone considering any type of cosmetic enhancements.
I went in for my first Fractora treatment today. I was nervous about being poked with needles! But I knew I was in good hands with Setty Plastics and Aesthetics, and with Laura. I chose to do the Fractora not only for skin texture, minor scarring, and fine lines, but because I have suffered with cystic acne for years. It's definitely hormonal, and while it's been under control with a good skin care regimen from Setty, and I haven't developed new acne, the more stubborn cysts have lingered and scarred. Nothing I have tried has cleared them up. The Fractora is a radio frequency assisted microneedling procedure than makes multiple tiny punctures in your skin and delivers radio frequency heat to stimulate collagen production, with the added benefit of killing the bacteria in those stubborn spots. I've come so far in improving my skin, but this lingering problem makes me very self conscious. I'm over 50, and still dealing with this darn acne! I'm not going to say the procedure is painless. It can be uncomfortable. But, it's not horrendous at all! I was numbed with cream prior to the procedure, and it's actually a pretty quick treatment even when doing the entire face. A few deep breaths and a few colorful words got me through in no time! And Laura was so patient, asking me if I needed a break, explaining the entire process, and recommending the perfect after-care products for me. I am about 5 hours post procedure in these pics. Most of the redness has subsided, and the only discomfort I have is if I rub my face. Simple fix, don't rub! And the best part is I can ALREADY see the grid marks from the needles! Proof that it's doing exactly what it is supposed to do! I will update as I heal. But I can say that all my fears about discomfort and appearance afterward were a waste of time! Updated on 21 Oct 2018: I woke up today looking like expected. Tiny grid marks all over my face. They are like little markers showing that laura did a wonderful job... not a spot got missed! She was very clear about what to expect, so seeing the marks shows me that it's doing exactly what it's supposed to. Let the healing begin! I have ZERO discomfort, even to touch. I'm sure I could cover most of it with good makeup, but today is Sunday- laundry- bare faced day, so it gets another day to rest and heal. So far so good. More to come!
The use of a laser in this type of surgery is likely just a marketing ploy. There is no added benefit to using a laser over a scalpel as far as healing time and pain after surgery. Find a surgeon who can show you their before and after photos that match what you are looking for.
SculpSure is a FDA approved noninvasive procedure that uses a laser to penetrate the skin and heat the fat cells leading to destruction of fat cells. Treatment time is 25 minutes per area treated. Most patients are comfortable during the procedure but can feel some heat. There is no downtime after the procedure. Results are seen over several weeks as your body breaks down the injured fat cells. Most patients will require 2 treatments to each area spaced 6-8 weeks apart to see best results.
Bodytite is a minimally invasive procedure that can be done in an office setting or surgery suite setting. Bodytite uses radiofrequency energy to heat the skin and deeper tissue leading to skin and tissue contraction. It is often combined with liposuction to allow for more significant contouring. The advantage that Bodytite liposuction has over traditional liposuction is that you can see much more skin tightening than typically seen with liposuction especially in areas such as the arms, inner thighs, and neck.
We have both devices in my practice and have found both to be very effective depending on the patient's desires.
I would not recommend using SculpSure to the breasts. The results would be unpredictable and it is not meant to be used on the breasts. Look into surgical options for a breast reduction with a board certified plastic surgeon.
Thanks for your question and photos. It does appear that you should be a good candidate for SculpSure treatment to the areas of concern. Some skin tightening is possible with SculpSure. Plan at least 2 treatments to each area for the most effective treatment. An in person exam would allow for the best recommendations.
Having nodules after SculpSure treatment is quite common. Typically, those nodules will be gone by 4 months but they can persist. Massage as you are doing is important. Most likely these nodules will eventually resolve.
