My experience with Dr. Roopani has been amazing. This was my second hair transplant, and the two experiences really couldn’t have been more different. My first procedure was with a different doctor who didn’t really take the time to understand what I wanted, and left me with a result l wasn’t totally happy with. Dr. Roopani and his entire staff were far more attentive, thoughtful, and kind,...
I had a terrific experience with Dr. Roopani and the entire team at RHI. The doctor himself took time to meet with me during the consultation, which was quite different than most providers I consulted with, who instead had salespeople do the consultations. The team was flexible with me on scheduling on a day that was convenient for me. The procedure itself went wonderfully, and they have...
The procedural experience with Dr. Roopani was positive as he and his staff were very attentive, helpful, and friendly during the procedure. Dr. Roopani and his staff take their profession seriously and it shows! Good job!
I had a wonderful experience at RHI. I did FUE in January 2023 and one year later my hair looks fantastic and natural. At first I was wary of the upfront cost, but I can certainly say it is worth the investment after seeing my hair now and the positive impact it has on my well-being. I would highly recommend RHI for your hair needs. They think about the best treatment plan for their patients...
Dr. Roopani and the team at Root Hair Institute are the absolute best. The entire team is extremely warm and welcoming from your very first visit. During my initial consultation, Dr. Roopani explained the entire process from start to finish with great care and thoroughness. He answered every single question and made sure I left the consultation with all the information I needed. The office...
A: Hello, your hair loss secondary to stopping finasteride is likely due to removing the medication and the resumption of the culprits that lead to hair loss in the first place (in androgenetic alopecia). Unfortunately, getting back on the medication will not quickly reverse the processes that lead to the hair loss in the first place. I believe you should give it more time with the current therapies you are on. We usually recommend 3-6 months of treatment to be able to assess for improvement or worsening. After that point, you can consider alternative and/or additional therapies.
A: Hello, with prolonged hair shedding, there needs to be a thorough evaluation with possible blood tests to determine what may be causing the hair to shed. I recommend asking your physician if they offer the work up needed to determine the cause before proceeding with your 4th treatment.
A: Hello, FUE is an excellent procedure for hair restoration. FUT should also be considered in your case as you are still very young and a plan should be taken to preserve enough "donor" hair for subsequent procedures should the need arise. Unfortunately, it is difficult to determine surgery size without a physical evaluation of your scalp and to address the location of the hair line. The goal should be to preserve a natural aesthetic all while providing your satisfactory results. Your surgeon should evaluate the pros and cons of each type of procedure and what it entails.
A: Hello, PRP can be a great addition to your hair restoration treatment regimen but unfortunately, it may not work to get you the results you are looking for in your frontal scalp region. You may consider an evaluation for a second procedure (FUE) but I would recommend waiting for a few more months in case there are some hair follicles that were transplanted and not showing up just yet.
A: Your question is a very good one as far as timing for hair transplant. Unfortunately, there is no clear cut guidance on this without first understanding (through examination) the extent of your current hair loss. The spectrum of a hair transplant can range from conservative to aggressive and therefore, an examination and history should be taken for the physician to determine best prognostication of your hair loss and to create (with you) a comprehensive approach that not only will hold onto your existing hairs and prevent further hair loss but correct any areas of concern through surgery (should you be a good candidate).
