I am so grateful for Dr. Ashford. I’ve struggled with unconventional gynecology issues over the past 8 years and Dr. Ashford has helped me numerous times overcome those challenges. He takes a holistic approach and thinks outside the box to help improve the quality of life for his patients. I highly recommend him.

Dr Ashford is patient and explains things in a way that is easy to understand. He put me at ease and I had no concerns before going into surgery. His staff is friendly and attentive. I am going back for another procedure and look forward to working with them again. I highly recommend this group.

Writing this because I owe it to Dr. Ashford. This isn't some marketing material review. I am truly appt with my results! I had a trim labiaplasty and CHR, and Dr. Ashford cleaned my perineal area up at his best judgement during my procedure. I am almost fully healed within 5 weeks and am already very happy with the results. Dr. Ashford ales time to really hear out all of his patients. Most days he will be running behind to your appointment -- but that is because he will give as much needed attention to EACH patient to make sure they're comfortable, taken care of, and acknowledged. The day of my surgery I was freaked out. I did conscious sedation in office. All the nurses were reassuring, the anesthesiologist was a hoot and Dr. Ashford had his usual calming demeanor which was very comforting. The 24hr hotline came in handy after surgery (I had to up my pain killer dose & called many times at 3 am). If I had any questions the nurse line always got back to me at the end of the day (they usually take a voicemail immediately). If you're considering Dr. Ashford I 100% recommend. I truly trust his judgement.

I was very pleased with my experience with Dr. Ashford and his staff. I came in with a lot of concerns and questions and Dr. Ashford thoroughly went over all of my options. one of the many things I had done was a pelvic prolapse surgery which recovered quickly and easily. I also had the Thermiva laser treatment but was a bit skeptical at first if it was really going to help or make a difference. It was clear to me after the second procedure that it was making a huge difference in my sex life. I could go on about the positive experience with him.

I’m 31 with 3 kids. All were delivered via c-section but pregnancy affects your vagina, not just the birth. I’m petite and carried very low too. I started pelvic floor therapy last summer after an initial consultation for a vaginoplasty/labiaplasty. I was frustrated with feeling loose during sex and having the urge to pee all the time. I also hate the look of my vagina and my long labia causes discomfort. I was having pain with sex for many years, and figured that was from my surgeries. Men have commented that it’s difficult to get me to orgasm. I tried to do kegels but I couldn’t hold them for more than one second. Dr Ashford said that tells him my muscles are very weak, and told me about urostim which is covered by insurance. So I decided to try that first. Well, after urostim therapy I can hold my kegels for 10+ seconds and do many reps of those! Sex and orgasms have improved tremendously! But I still feel like I should be tighter on the inside and outside. I decided to try the non-surgical options first especially because recovery from surgery would be difficult with 3 young children at home. Also this is cheaper, and he gave me a deal to basically do both for the price of one. I just had my very first session yesterday! I have 2 more sessions scheduled, each a month apart. I’m so excited for the results!! I took a before/after picture yesterday and I can’t wait to have sex and see if I notice an improvement! He said i won’t see much difference until the 2nd treatment but I’m hopeful it will be sooner than that!

Dr. Ashford is an exceptional doctor with an excellent bedside manner. As a female looking for vaginal rejuvenation after three pregnancies, the thought of being examined by any doctor made me anxious. However, Dr. Ashford has such a calm & caring bedside manner that he quickly put my worries at ease, and I was able to open up with all my concerns with his genuine interest in my overall health. I first learned about Dr. Ashford when I researched the top Minnesota surgeons and his name was among them. I live 2 1/2 hours away from his office, but the drive is well worth his expertise and the friendliness of his staff is second to none. I admire how Dr. Ashford truly listens and remains an active partner throughout the entire process. He even called me at home the day after my procedure to personally check up on me and my comfort level. I am incredibly happy with my overall results & my confidence in myself has grown as well. There is no doubt in my mind that this procedure is worth it!!! As a result of Dr. Ashford taking the necessary time to ensure my needs, concerns, and questions were fully met prior to my procedures, I had an incredibly positive experience from the start to the very end. Thank you, Dr. Ashford, for using your talents to improve the lives of others!!! You are exceptional!!!

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Ashford. I have had complications since the surgery and I’m worse than before the surgery. I called three days after surgery and was told by his staff to go to my local emergency room. He hasn’t taken any responsibility for any of the complications.

I'd give zero stars if I could. I went to Dr. Ashford for a labia majora and labia minora plasty, to reduce both. He was confident he could give me the results I wanted. The surgery seemed to go okay but as I began to heal, I was immediately not happy with results. He reduced the labia minora but the labia majora (outer labia) looked exactly the same. At the follow up, I told him I wasn't happy with the results and he told me that he only did a partial majora plasty instead of the full majora plasty, despite the fact that I payed for the full. When I tried to explain my concerns including excess skin and a wrinkly appearance (which is what he was supposed to correct during surgery), he literally told me, "it looks like the skin of a 40 or 50 year old who's been sun bathing naked for 20 years." So not only did I not receive the results or even the procedure that I paid for, but he also insulted me. Then he told me to get the results I wanted, I'd have to pay another $3000. I felt completely robbed and have never had lower self esteem. I would never recommend him to anyone under any circumstance.

Total loss of feeling. Unfortunately I am one of the people that serious nerve damage from this surgery also the surgery wasnt done properly and Have had to see other doctors that have said he should have never performed this surgery on me so soon after having a baby and while breastfeeding which he knew. I can no longer feel what I used to and then dismissed by the doctor. There was no tightness either . This has seriously ruined the one thing enjoyable in my life and Im out of 4000 dollars Updated on 1 Oct 2020: Imagine being in your 20s and being numb in your vagina and no longer able to feel the pleasure of sex cant feel pain all because a provider decided to talk you into unessarysurgery that changed your life so negatively with zero benefits. Numb!! for over 8 months now. The emotional pain shame and embarrassment and betrayal this has caused is excessive. Perinoplasty vaginoplasty is not worth it and providers thinking every vagina is the same is just not right I was naive and trusted this doctor. Please save your self its not worth never feeling like a normal woman again. Updated on 11 Nov 2020: Still no sensation. On Jan 28 it will be 1 year since the biggest regret of my life. I greatly miss the wonderful sensation I had prior to this surgery. Praying for a miracle! Ladies if your pressured into getting a vaginoplasty by a urogynecologist 5 weeks after having a baby and he has it scheduled under 6 months after having a baby that is a major red flag. As a female urogynecologist said it can take up to a year to go back after having a couple kids. Why I trusted the surgeon I dont know. But I Am very saddened at what happened to me and not being to feel normal pleasure like a normal human anymore. Updated on 8 Dec 2020: This surgery basically ruined my confidence and life. and All I do is cry and look for ways to heal the nerves so I can feel sensation the way I did prior to surgery :( if anyone wants to pray for me. Updated on 15 Mar 2022: It's been 2 years and 2 months and I've never been the same again. It ruined my relationship my womanhood my self esteem and of course my pleasure. I hold out for a miracle everyday. His clinic has tried to have me come back but I've already seen experts and nothing can be done to fix such catastrophic internal damage. Updated on 18 Apr 2022: I see he insulted another lady on here he did that to me too 4 weeks post partum then preyed on my emotional state and said the surgery had to be done and took my payment after telling me how nothing can fix this but surgery. My sex life and life in general between then 6 weeks post partum and 4 months post partum was great no complaints my man fit perfect. After the surgery I could no longer feel. No matter how "loose" as he called me I never had an issue with being able to feel or have pleasure. It's been over 2 years I never got that sensitivity or pleasure back. He tried to say that I already had that problem and no I did not! He is not me so he doesn't and didn't know what I felt. and tried to say 6 fingers could fit in me bf could never do that. and then expected me to come back for a bladder stress test which I never had bladder issues. He actually ruined everything for me. May he reap what he sows.

I rarely write reviews, if ever, but this had to be said. I have been searching for an OBGYN for the past 10 years. I knew something in my body was "off" yet I could not find a doctor that could help me. I stumbled upon Dr. Ashford by fate and it has been the best thing that has happened to me. Dr. Ashford is thourough, he listens to what you are experiencing. He does not just look at one part of you, he looks at your body in its entirety; from my experience that is a rare thing in todays (western) world of medicine. Dr. Ashford has taken (and continues) to invest the time to learn about my individual needs according to the way my body operates; I can honestly say that he is the first OBGYN (out of many) to accomplish that. I am just an ordinary woman with what seemed to be an unsolvable issue. Dr. Ashford took the time to get to source of my problems (which seemed HUGE to me) diagnosed me, and has actually brought me back to myself. I feel comfortable in my skin once again, and he did that, all while making me feel normal. I have yet to find another doctorlike him. I am so grateful.
