Thank you for your inquiry and photo. It seems as though you have wound dehiscence, which can happen after surgery. Since this area has a lot of tension, it is more common to open up. This requires local wound care and possibly topical anti-biotics. I would suggest you follow up with your board certified plastic surgeon to address your concerns. 

Hello! Thank you for your photo and inquiry. Itchiness after surgery can be due to a reaction to surgical tape, bra etc. The area also looks a bit red. In my medical opinion, a topical anti-biotic ointment would better help the incisions to heal. I would make a follow up appointment with your board certified plastic surgeon to examine you in person and decide whether oral anti-biotics would be necessary as well. In regards to the flanks, I always recommend post-surgery lymphatic massages to help break down the tissue and avoid lumpiness.

I always recommend that my patients start breast massages 3-4 weeks after their surgery. Whether it be lymphatic massages with a massage therapist or at home massages, they are very important to avoid capsular contraction. This will also help the implants drop a bit and they will feel softer as well. Always address any concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon.

Thank you for your inquiry and photos. Usually redness accompanied with warmth can be a sign of an infection starting. Since your physician prescribed anti-biotics, I would wait a few more days to see if the redness subsides. It can take a few days for the anti-biotics to kick in. Continue with the bathing instructions as instructed by your physician to keep the incisions clean and follow up with him/her if there is any change, whether it is for better or worse.
