Julie Davis is the creator and founder of Pura Vida. She is a former lawyer, healthcare administrator and consultant with a passion for aesthetic medicine. With many years of experience and extensive education, she is well prepared and capable of leading the Pura Vida Body & Mind Team. In keeping with the spirit of giving back, Julie has also founded two non-profit organizations. Reconstructing Dreams, Inc., her most recent, provides no-cost cosmetic services to victims of violent crimes such as domestic abuse and sex trafficking. Last but not least, Julie believes wholeheartedly in leading by example, so don’t be surprised when you see her working right alongside the other Pura Vida team members.

My name is Brittany Smith and I am a certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in advanced aesthetic medicine. I am very excited for the opportunity to join the Pura Vida team and share my passion for caring for others and providing them with the ability and confidence to feel amazing and shine in their own skin. Professionally: I graduated with my Bachelors in nursing at Florida State College of Jacksonville and my Masters in nursing at Chamberlain College of Nursing. Prior to fulfilling my passion for aesthetic medicine, I spent 6 years at UF Health of Jacksonville caring for trauma progressive patients. I have been very blessed in my career to work along side such amazing and dedicated healthcare professionals providing care for patients suffering from acute and chronic traumatic injuries/deformities and illnesses. I am very honored to now work with amazing professionals in an atmosphere that promotes positivity and artistry.

The Pura Vida Team is excited to welcome Melissa Googe to our Skin Care Team. Melissa brings over 10-years’ experience and a depth and breadth of experience that is well above the norm. She is trained in Oncology Aesthetics, microdermabrasion, HydraFacial, chemical peels, LED photofacial, Body Wrapping, hair removal, and much more. She has proven success in treating difficult acne in both adults and teens and enjoys nothing more than giving her clients the very best results.

After many years working in the business sector and as a corporate trainer, Chrissy decided to fulfill her dream of becoming an esthetician. Despite being a wife and Mom of two young boys, Chrissy was able to balance school, work and home and successfully completed her training to become a Licensed Full Esthetician/Specialist. We are thrilled Chrissy wanted to join our Pura Vida team. About Me: “When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my kids, having lunch with my mom and traveling with my husband. I fell in love with skincare at an early age and finally decided to make a career out of it. I love helping people create better versions of themselves. Prior to coming to Pura Vida, I worked in the medical field as a chiropractic assistant for four years. Although I really enjoyed my previous work, I decided to explore what else the world had to offer and to fulfill my dream of working in a spa! I love the relaxing spa atmosphere and the joy that comes with helping others feel good about themselves. Because I truly care about others, I strive to help every guest enjoy their time at Pura Vida so they can relax and recharge. It’s my goal each day to deliver the best customer service possible and to make each person feel welcome. I hope to see you soon!

I am a Mom of three beautiful girls and a wife to an amazing husband. Family life keeps me super busy but my love working in medicine led me to go back to work part-time at Pura Vida. I am so happy that I made that choice! Although I have been a Certified Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist for many years, I really love aesthetic medicine more than anything I have done in the past. I absolutely love helping people have the perfect spa experience and building relationships with our spa guests. Our staff is like family and many of our spa guests have become like family to us also. The best part is, being one of Pura Vida’s Spa Tenders, I get do use my medical background in performing things like Viveve Vaginal Rejuvenation treatments, drawing blood for Micronutrient testing and PRP treatments, B12 shots and providing consultative educational sessions about the treatments we perform here.

Brianna is our Spa Ambassador who will greet you, help with treatment scheduling, and keep you informed about our products and services. About Me: I absolutely love the beauty and skin care industry so joining the Pura Vida team was a very easy decision for me. As the spa’s ambassador, I am usually the first person you meet when you arrive. Whether you need help making spa reservations, learning about our services, or have questions about what to expect, I will happily be your guide. It’s my job to make sure your spa experience is just as you want it to be. I enjoy meeting new people and creating long lasting relationships with our spa guests. On a more personal note, I work full-time and attend college part-time with my focus set on completing my AA degree and then going on to become a Medical Aesthetician. My schedule is a busy one, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my friends, going to the beach, and playing with my dog Harley!

When you come into the spa, you will likely meet Hope! She is available to help guide you through your services, provide tours of our facility, and answer any questions you may have. She is also the reason our facility stays clean, neat, and relaxing. Hope is committed to being an expert on all things Pura Vida so feel free ask her about anything anytime. About Me: One of my most important goals in life is to help others feel confident and comfortable in their skin. I'm currently working towards earning my Aesthetics license to further pursue my passion for skin care. As your Spa Tender, I take much pride in assuring every client who comes Pura Vida Mind and Body Spa feels at home and enjoys their time with us! When I'm not at work, which really doesn’t feel like work between the serene atmosphere and family like staff I enjoy spending my time either at the beach with little family of three or cooking something new and exciting.
