Excision of Acne Scars Followed By Laser Treatment

As if suffering through acne breakouts were embarrassing enough, the everlasting scars they can leave behind can be detrimental to your confidence and esteem. I always assumed acne was something I would eventually grow out of, but I was so wrong. Although my breakouts were less frequent the older I grew, they were more severe when they did occur. In my mid-20’s I started getting cystic acne. F...

Amazing Experience!! A true artist/Dr

I have always wanted fuller lips for as long as I could remember. Dr. Ginsburg gave me a beautiful lip augmentation with filler. I feel like exactly what I asked for I received through his work. Now I can wear all of my fun lipsticks that I felt like before didn’t look quite right. He literally did such an amazing job! I now feel like my lips match my face in proportion. Would Do It Again in a Second if I Had to - Media, PA

Broke nose in my teens from a sports injury. Fixed it 10 yrs later 3 1/2 hour procedure. Rhino/Septo/Turb. Over half of my septum had to just be removed. Love the results. Looks natural. No more bump! No more clicking noise coming from my nose when I sleep.. (Septum was pretty busted). Well worth the black eyes and sleeping sitting up for 2 weeks.

Q: Can temporary nose fillers give a permanent effect?
Answered by Dr. GinsburgJune 16, 2019

A: The answer to your question is yes, you can some fibrosis in the area of a temporary filler that may be permanent.  There are inherent risks of filler in the nose, infection, blindness, vascular occlusion and skin slough which are rare but obviously severe.  You risk, having a silicone implant is elevate specifically for infection as the introduction of filler could cause infection of your implant.  I not reccommend going the filler route, but if you do proceed with caution.

Q: Is there a difference in scarring using 1 week fast dissolving sutures vs. non-dissolvable to close the skin?
Answered by Dr. GinsburgJune 12, 2019

A: Generally nondissolvable sutures will leave a nice scar as the dissolvable sutures do so by inciting the body's inflammatory response to dissolve, the less inflammatory reaction the better the scar.

Q: Is a rib cartilage rhinoplasty hard to revise or remove after 1 year?
Answered by Dr. GinsburgJune 3, 2019

A: Thanks for your question.  Revision rhinoplasty is more challenging than primary rhinoplasty in general, the removal of cartilage itself is no particularly difficult, although repairing the issue you are having may be.  See someone who is experienced with revision rhinoplasty.  Best of luck!

Q: Flat midface! What treatment would you advise?
Answered by Dr. GinsburgMay 31, 2019

A: Hello, thanks for your question, cheeks can be augmented with filler whether it be fat, synthetic fillers or implants.  If you require a mild augmentation, I think synthetic filler works nicely, can be done in the office with little discomfort/ downtime.  For more significant volumization, I think fat is better as it does not give the "puffy" look you can get from large amounts of hyaluronic acid fillers.  Cheek implants are also and option.  An in person evaluation would be best to determine what is the best option for you personally.

Q: 6 months post-op. Do I have a polly beak/supratip deformity? (photos)
Answered by Dr. GinsburgMarch 27, 2019

A: Hello,

From your photos it appears that you may may some excess soft tissue or cartilage in the supratip area, so a polybeak is possible, although, we generally will tell patients that it take a full year for swelling to completely resolve, an in person eval at 1 year would be the time to decide on further intervention.  Hope this helps!
