I got the PRP facial with microneedling facial done at Prodigy Med Spa! After seeing Kim K get the “vampire facial”, I was intrigued. Justine and the Medical director explained the benefits of getting a PRP facial done. I don’t have have perfect skin and my skin has been dull. I have acne scarring from my teenage years and wanted to reduce the appearance. The process is pretty straight forward, you get your blood drawn, it gets spun down in a centrifuge. While this is happening, the esthetician applies a lidocaine cream to your face to numb you up. After 10 minutes, you lay down and let the magic begin! The esthetician lathered my Platelet Rich plasma all over my face and used a microneedling pen. I could feel my face throbbing which was good because I was stimulating collagen!! Yay to looking young!! After the microneedling, I had a mask on for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, I washed my face. Ladies, don’t be alarmed you will be red and it looks like someone beat you up! The results are worth it I promise!! I got my post skincare kit and went home! I went out to dinner immediately. My face was red for the next 2 days. I managed to do my weekend errands without any issues! I used spf after 24 hours. After 3 days, my skin started peeling and I was glowing. My skin automatically felt softer, smoother, and less red!
