I Tried to Keep my Expectations Low, but Still Feel Disappointed.

I spent a lot of time here researching beforehand, and I genuinely wanted to be able to post a different review than this! First, let me just say—overall, I had a totally fine experience and genuinely enjoyed seeing the technician who treated me every week. The place was lovely. If I knew somebody who wanted Botox or whatever, I'd be happy to send them there! I just wish I could tell myself that my own experience was in any way worth the time, money or discomfort. The backstory: I went to Plaza Aesthetics with the every intention of getting a TruSculpt treatment, but got talked into doing the Evolve system instead, because it was the newest and best option, and ostensibly a better fit for what I was trying to accomplish. $3k and 3 months (12 hourlong treatments) later, I feel like all I have to show for my troubles are a few dark spots on my stomach from where my overly-sensitive skin got burnt by the machine. And—maybe I'm paranoid and this was just an oversight, but—they didn't even take an "after" photo, lol. I was ready for discomfort! I didn't mind getting a few blisters because, honestly, they made me feel like all those hours on the table with the machine chiming at me were really DOING something... but I feel like any results I got were basically invisible. From a certain angle, I can almost believe there's a tiny bit more of an indentation where my waist is than there used to be? Unfortunately, the measuring tape doesn't seem to see it, either. There are several ways in which I have tried to blame myself for this outcome: • Maybe the area I chose to treat (higher/waistline) was less ideal, and I could have seen greater results had I gone for something easier (belly)? • Maybe I should have been drinking more water or doing some kind of fancy massages or something on myself after each treatment? • Maybe there's something weird about my meds or my diet or my life that interfered with the "expected" results? (I already work out 5x a week, so I shudder to think how much more I should have been doing.) • Maybe I was actually gaining weight the whole time, and my Evolve treatments were the only reason I didn't wind up MORE fat than when I started? They suggest doing at least one treatment a month indefinitely as maintenance, but I'm reticent to throw anymore money away when I don't feel like there's much of anything to "maintain". I know that targeted fat loss is essentially impossible by natural means, but I was really hoping money and science might be able to make something happen. The only reassuring thing I can add for anybody else considering this treatment: I do tend to have IMPROBABLY bad luck. If something works for 98% of people, I am sure to be in the 2%... SO if things mostly seem to work like they're supposed to for you, please don't let my review dissuade you! I just hope you'll have better results than me.
