7 Q&A

Q: Does 4.5 hours for a labiaplasty sound accurate? 4 cm long on each side. I was not expecting the procedure to last this long.
Answered by Dr. ParcellsFebruary 17, 2023

A: I do these procedures in my office in 45 minutes. While some patients elect to have general anesthesia, many patients feel comfortable having local numbing medicine and having the procedure performed in the office. this allows them to go home the same day.

Q: Are there silicone breast implants available at 1000cc, for reconstruction after double mastectomy?
Answered by Dr. ParcellsApril 1, 2020

A: Great question.

Unfortunately the largest silicone gel implant being manufactured is 800cc. However, it is possible to overfill a saline breast implant to upwards of 1000 cc.

You may benefit from the use of ADM, or acellular dermal matrix, to assist in shaping your breasts into a more aesthetic position.

I recommend seeing a board-certified plastic surgeon in consultation to learn more about your options.

Good luck!

Q: Do I need a breast lift at 20 when I haven't had kids yet? (Photos)
Answered by Dr. ParcellsMarch 10, 2020

A: Hi there. Great question.
Based on your photographs and complaints of difficulty exercising and discomfort (feeling heavy), I think you would benefit from a breast reduction

The main difference is that a breast reduction include removal of breast tissue, while a breast lift is just removal of skin. Both procedures will reshape your breasts and raise your areola and nipple up to a more youthful position.

Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon in consultation to be evaluated and learn more about your options.

Q: Do I need a tummy tuck? I am considering getting a BBL done but was told a tummy tuck would benefit me also.
Answered by Dr. ParcellsMarch 5, 2020

A: If you want to liposuction your abdomen it may result in additional skin laxity. You are in great shape, so you may benefit from just a mini abdominoplasty (from your umbilicus down toward your pubic bone) and not a full tummy tuck.

Make sure you see a board certified plastic surgeon in consultation.

Best of luck!

Q: Can I still improve/fix my grade 3 ptosis without surgery? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. ParcellsFebruary 10, 2020

A: Hi There,

Regardless of the weight you loss, a breast lift will be required to bring your breasts back up into a more youthful shape. I recommend waiting until you have finished completing your family as pregnancy and breastfeeding will also impact your overall shape.

Make sure you see a board certified plastic surgeon.
