From a volume perspective, there is not a significant difference between 250 and 300 cc. In fact, most implants look smaller, once they are in the body, and many patients say they regret not going bigger instead of wishing they went smaller.
That being said, the most important aspect in sizing implants is finding a base width that matches your chest wall, which can vary depending on the brand, volume and projection of the implant.
The volumes you are considering are only around a cup size increase, which I do not believe would be too much for your frame but you do want to make sure the implant is not too wide or too narrow for your chest.
I recommend having a discussion with your board certified plastic surgeon to understand the variables of implant sizing and choosing the right implant for you.
Hello PennyLane77,
thank you for your inquiry.
Liposuction to reduce the breasts is an effective method, however, I would caution there are some limitations. First, traditional liposuction can be much more specific in how much tissue is removed. With liposuction, you are manly suctioning out whatever fat is present but this will do nothing to actually reduce breast tissue (not fatty tissue). Second, if you have overly saggy breasts, liposuction will not significantly improve breast sag. Yes with liposuction, there is some small retraction that occurs, however, this would only be beneficial with someone who has minimal breast sag.
I suggest speaking with a board-certified plastic surgeon who does awake liposuction to get the best understanding of what procedure would work best for you.
