A: It has always been my teaching that following Botox injections, you shouldn't rub the area, exercise vigorously, or partake in any horizontal activities for at least 3-4 hours following injection. Certain areas are more prone to undesirable effects, should the botox spread, such as when treating the glabellar region. I personally tell my patients they should remain upright for at least 3-4 hours and resume vigorous exercise the next day. I don't worry too much about running or walking but weight training often has us bending over or lying down, which I wouldn't advise during that time frame.
A: Using Botox to create a brow lift is quite common. With a skilled injector who knows which facial muscles elevate vs depress, it is usually possible to create a peak in the brow arch, as well as elevating the tails of the brow for a "spa" brow. It is important to note that although the max effects of Botox can be seen within the first week or two, there is a relearning that occurs with those facial muscles that result in more noticable results over time.
