Seriously Incredible! Cannot Recommend Enough

First off - the staff is absolutely amazing! There are multiple locations so for reference I go to the Lynnfield location. I've been working with Jenny for a couple of months now with facials and laser hair removal. The staff is incredibly communicative and really helpful! I have monthly laser hair removal treatments scheduled for the next 8 months and I'm sure I'll be back for other services...

Morpheus8 and Alastin Skincare

I started using Alastin Reg. Skin Nectar w/TriHex Tech. after my 1st Morpheus8 procedure. This product is a game changer! The wrinkles under my eyes have disappeared after just a few weeks. Love that the product works with any makeup. Some product ingred. clash with makeup, but not this Alastin. It blends into skin beautifully.

Q: Is PRP a good option to keep hair from thinning more and to thicken them? Is it actually effective?
Answered by Dr. SandhuJanuary 10, 2022

A: Thanks for your question.
PRP after a surgical hair transplant or even during a transplant procedure is becoming one of the most well studied nonsurgical hair-loss treatment. It which involves extracting the platelets from your own blood which are then injected into areas of your scalp, to restore thinning hair. The research done so far shows that PRP can be an effective treatment for most types of non-scarring hair loss conditions like TE, alopecia androgenetica and alopecia areata. While we do not know the exact mechanism of action, but we believe that the growth factors released from the activated platelets increase the blood supply to the hair follicles and in turn, increases the follicular viability and density by lengthening the time line of the hair growth phase or anagen.

You would start seeing results in 3-4 months and we do recommend to start with a series of 3-4 treatments spaced 4- 6 weeks apart. Then you would need maintenance sessions every 6-8 months as teh results do start to wean off.

In combination, I frequently would also recommend nutrafol supplements for nutritional support and balancing any hormonal imbalances which may also be contributing to hair loss. Also, vit D deficiency can exacerbate hair loss, so make sure that your levels are optimized. I would advise that you make a consultation with a board certified physician for a customized treatment plan. Hope that helps.

Q: How to add more dimension to my face? (Photos)
Answered by Dr. SandhuApril 3, 2020

A: Thank you for your question. You are beautiful and have really nice skin and facial features. Doing less than more would be the best strategy and you should focus on simple procedures like microdermabrasion and maybe preventative botox to continue to maintain your skin health and prevent lines and wrinkles. If you felt like adding some more dimension to your face, a simple way would be to add some filler to your cheeks and chin like juvederm voluma and you should consider doing that only very 2-3 years if needed to just enhance your already beautiful features.

Hope that helps.

Q: I have a dark shadow on my cheekbones while I smile, any suggestions? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. SandhuApril 3, 2020

A: Thanks for the question and for the picture. As a normal part of the aging process, our face loses volume and can get sunken in creating mild concavity along the lateral edges, where the light reflex no longer bounces off, casting a 'shadow'.  It's this loss of facial fat or volume that you are noticing, and the best way to correct it would be to get an in person consultation for facial contouring filler injections by an experienced aesthetic physician. In my opinion, you would get a great result with Sculptra which is Poly-L-Lactic acid and a natural biostimulatory injectable, which builds collagen over 6-8 weeks giving you a very natural result which lasts for years.

Hope that helps.

Q: Would I be a good candidate for a cupid's bow lip enhancement? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. SandhuApril 3, 2020

A: Thanks for your question. The filler placement in your top lip is not well placed, and has even spilled onto your white cutaneous lip. I would recommend dissolving the current filler completely and placing a softer filler with more finesse to give you a better contour and definition of the cupid's bow and naturally enhance your lips.

Hope that helps.
