Amazing care - she obviously really cares about her patients

I had a phenomenal experience with Dr. Katz who performed the Aviva procedure on me a few days ago. She is such a fun, happy person that it was easy to feel immediate comfort with her. She does a great job of explaining everything in detail before doing anything. She also checked in with me a couple of days prior and after the procedure. It's obvious that she really cares about her patients....

Morpheus Experience

There is no other place I’d go besides Dr. Katz I received the most outstanding care every single time I walk in the office. She’s very compassionate about her job and patients!! The treatments were fas...

Q: Coolsculpting vs other treatments to look into for my abdomen? (Photos)
Answered by Dr. KatzFebruary 27, 2024

A: Coolsculpting is a perfect option for those pesky pinchable areas of fat that do not respond to diet and exercise. From the looks of your photos it seems like you would be a perfect candidate. I suggest a consult with measurements and weight to be sure.

Q: Is CoolSculpting a good option for my excess stomach fat? (Photo)

Q: I had CoolSculpting done in Nov 2022. I feel I have gotten even bigger in the area
Answered by Dr. KatzFebruary 27, 2024

A: Something to remember about Coolsculpting is that you are only treating the designated areas at the time. Therefore only those areas results in a 45% or so permanent fat reduction. Remember also that we have a preset amount of fat cells all over our body in certain areas by the time we hit puberty so that our appearance depends on how much we inflate or deflate those cells. Therefore, any areas that are not treated with still be able to inflate the current cells with any fat if there is any weight gain. Also not all of the cells are permanently removed in the treatment area so any left over cells may still expand as well expecially with a 5kg weight gain on such a small frame.

Q: Does CoolSculpting freeze muscle? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. KatzFebruary 27, 2024

A: The basics of coolsculpting are as follows. Water freezes at a temperature that is below the temperature that freezes fat. That is why we can do the procedure and not damage water based tissues like skin and muscle. So, no it should not freeze the muscle.
