Facelift
Q Why does skin relax more in a skin only facelift versus a deep plane facelift?
A Thank you for your query. Skin only face lifts can give satisfactory results for selected individuals. The longevity of the lift is less as the deeper tissues are not supported. As to how much skin is removed depends on what you need. A SMAS or MACS lift may also be suitable without significant risks of hardness or hematomas when done by experienced surgeons. Breast Reduction
Q What percent of your patients were able to only take OTC medication and gabapentin without any opioids?
A Thank you for your query. I get a few individuals who prefer to have no opioids after major surgeries like breast reduction, for a variety of reasons. I use long acting local anaesthesia or nerve blocks for such individuals and they do fine. Some do fine even without long acting local anaesthetics.
