What a difference - my skin looks younger than my actual age

I am an older (much) woman, who had the pleasure of seeing Dr Huang yesterday, for both Botox and Filler. What a difference - the saying "Perception is reality" in my case truly is reality. When i applied my makeup this morning I can honestly say that my skin looks great and definitely much younger than my actual age. I will most definitely be back to see Dr Huang again.

Was able to help me achieve a plumper lip while still looking natural

My experience with Dr. Huang has been amazing. She has a great eye for the work she does and was able to help me achieve a plumper lip while still looking natural for my face and not drastically different. I love how they look even when I don’t wear lipstick now. I also got some Botox for my 11s because they are DEEP, and the difference she made is mind blowing. I’ll attach photos so you see...

My first Botox injections - Only felt like a small pinch

Dr. Huang made me feel very comfortable for my first Botox injections. I very much appreciate her conservative approach and am so happy with my results! The procedure was extremely quick and only felt like a small pinch. I highly recommend Dr. Huang and her team.

Amazing Experience

Dr. Huang was amazing! I was very nervous about getting botox because I had read about the potential for droopy eyes. Dr. Huang explained to me forehead anatomy and how botox would effect each muscle which I really appreciated. She takes the time to map out where she is going to inject the botox and follows up to ensure the results are what you want. I think she did a great job and I highly...

Q: Can I eat after getting Botox around my mouth and lips?
Answered by Dr. HuangNovember 21, 2020

A: I advised my patients to "use their treated muscles" for the rest of the day after receiving Botox, to increase Botox penetration into the treated muscles. Therefore, I would encourage eating after Botox treatment around the mouth. This would help to "get the Botox into the muscles".
This is also why we discourage people from exercising for 24 to 48 hours after receiving Botox treatment. Avoidance of exercise after Botox treatment decreases the dispersement of Botox from the treated area, making the Botox treatment more effective.

Q: Sagging jowls/ugly jawline- what can I do? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. HuangNovember 21, 2020

A: There are several non-invasive treatment options for sagging jowls.
1) You mentioned that you already have full cheeks. I use Juvederm voluma along the back lower jawline (just under the ear) to "pull back" and support the sagging jawline. Then, I put finishing touches by injecting Juvederm Voluma along the "sagging jowl" area to provide extra support.
2) You could also consider a PDO threadlift. The insertion site of the threads would be in the temple area, down to the "sagging jowl" area, which would help to provide an overall lift.
3) If you are the appropriate skin type, you could also get a plasma pen treatment along your entire jawline to help stimulate collagen regeneration, resulting in a tightening/lifting of the jawline.

Q: Would Botox help to lessen cyst appearance?
Answered by Dr. HuangNovember 21, 2020

A: Botox is a neurotoxin that works on your muscles that creates wrinkles. Therefore, if the line between your eyes is more noticeable with facial movements, then botox would help with this line. However, a cyst is a mass in the underlying tissue. Therefore, removal of the cyst could improve how your face looks at rest. But, if there is a new scar left from the cyst removal, this could worsen the existing line and make it look more noticeable. If the cyst is a sebaceous cyst, you need to make sure that the sack is removed, so that it won't fill back up with sebaceous material.

Q: Is this loose skin or banding underneath the chin? (Photos)
Answered by Dr. HuangNovember 21, 2020

A: Without touching/examining your skin in person, it is difficult to determine whether or not your under chin loosesness is due to loose skin or fat. However, if you have already had 2 kybella treatments, I'm assuming that would have treated any extra fat. And, it appears from the way that the skin is draping, that your under chin issues are due to loose/extra skin.
The least invasive procedure that I would recommend that you start with is a radiofrequency treatment. This treatment utilizes a machine to increase the heat to the area, stimulating your body's own collagen. For example, in our office we use Endymed Pro.
