HydraFacial Was So Refreshing!

This was my first HydraFacial but my first experience was amazing. Rhonda walked me through each step and talked to me about what all elements were doing for my skin. Her bedside manner was lovely in talking to me more about my daily skincare regime that she had been working with me on for a couple of months prior. After the HydraFacial, my skin was so refreshed. I would recommend Rhonda and...

Professional and personal - I get lots of compliments on my skin

I am in my early 60’s and have been going to MD Wellness solutions for about 5 years, the hydra facials are amazing, I have also had some needling and envy treatments which help with the fine lines and firmness of my skin. 49 Q&A

Q: Can I prepare my skin over the next 12 months to be suitable for C02 laser resurfacing?
Answered by Dr. TkatchNovember 26, 2021

A: Work with a provider experienced in C02 laser resurfacing to prepare your skin for your procedure. They will ensure your procedure is scheduled only after proper preparation and evaluate you for any skin conditions that may need to be treated prior to laser treatment. Best, Dr. Tkatch

Q: Is it safe to wax after IPL sessions?
Answered by Dr. TkatchNovember 26, 2021

A: Yes, you are safe to wax until you feel safe enough to access your aesthetic provider for IPL or laser hair removal sessions. You will need to stop waxing however, before you resume your IPL treatments as they target the hair follicle and waxing will effect your results. Best, Dr. Tkatch

Q: Does weight gain effect facial fillers?
Answered by Dr. TkatchNovember 26, 2021

A: Fillers placed in April 2019 will generally have dissolved within 12-18 months, so long gone. If you are experiencing water retention (puffiness), speak to your family doctor to ensure your thyroid is functioning well and you have no metabolic issues. Your family doctor can also help refer you to a nutritionist and/or discuss prescription medications to help you lose weight. Best, Dr. Tkatch

Q: Can a vertical dent in my forehead be fixed with filler? (photo)
Answered by Dr. TkatchFebruary 13, 2020

A: It's hard to tell from the photo, so an in person evaluation with a very skilled filler provider in your area is your best bet. Volume loss from aging or scars can be improved with fillers, however, the forehead is an area that requires a high level of expertise to treat safely and effectively. Ask friends and family for recommendations, check reviews and choose an experienced provider who is comfortable using fillers in this area. Best regards, Dr. Tkatch

Q: Does the amount of neurotoxin necessary lessen over time?
Answered by Dr. TkatchFebruary 13, 2020

A: There is enormous individual variation in the total dose of neurotoxin and frequency of treatments required across individuals. I have some patients, who do to muscle atrophy over prolonged courses of treatment, seem to be able to drop their doses. Other patients seem to require increasing dose over time, and occasionally, some patients develop a resistance to their brand of neurotoxin. Don't judge your treatments by what a friend experiences, rather find a provider you trust and follow their recommendations for you. Best, Dr. Tkatch
