I went in for a routine filler appointment at the end of April. My injector, Melissa, was out on maternity leave, so I was referred to the owner of MD Beauty Labs, Dr. Dadurian. Knowing she was the owner of the establishment, I felt confident that she could perform the procedure no problem. Unfortunately, I was very wrong. My first appointment was rushed, which led to my face being over injected. I told her right away that it didn't feel right and noticed she took a different approach when she injected me. Two weeks went by - I was still in pain and looking very puffy. I made a follow up appointment, where she explained that the soft tissue was still swollen, and recommended that I massage the area. She also recommended adding more filler to smooth the area. This was another huge mistake - too much filler was injected into my upper lip area, resulting in a very unnatural, lumpy look that made my smile really awkward. It also began to migrate down to my chin. Another week went by, and I was growing even more upset with my results, having had this same procedure done in the past with no problems. I also didn't appreciate that my concerns were being brushed off. Still, I made a third follow up appointment, where I requested all of the filler to be dissolved. Dr. Dadurian showed up 35 minutes late and again refused to dissolve anything, and blamed it on swelling. I left the practice feeling like I wasn't being taken seriously at all, and was frustrated at her lack of professionalism. 1+ month later - no surprise, I was still in pain. The soft tissue area that she repeatedly injected had turned purple. I started to freak out, and figured this was the last opportunity I was going to give her to correct this, even though I had pretty much lost all confidence in her. I also stressed the importance of having it removed that day as I was attending a wedding the following day. Dr. Dadurian finally agreed to dissolve a small amount at this time, but refused to dissolve the remaining filler because "she did not know where it was." I eventually had to have it removed by my doctor, who agreed that everything should have been dissolved at the second follow up appointment as requested. All together, I paid $1,150 and spent 5 hours in the practice, all to look like a puffy freak for over a month. Dr. Dadurian did not listen to my concerns or value my time at all. This was dangerous, stressful, and unprofessional - it was the absolute worst experience I've ever encountered at a doctors' office.
