I've been self conscious about my family curse (weak jaw and double chin) since high school. I always felt it made me look heavier than I actually am, especially from my profile. Finally decided to try CoolMini as a 30th birthday gift to myself. 2 rounds of CoolMini, overlapped in the middle 50% 29 years old 5'7, 150 lbs Cost: $600 per round I checked out Ideal Image and a local facility -- Clinic of Cosmetic Surgery (L'Image Skin Spa). Ideal image was offering "specials" and informed me of all kinds of "discounts" I would be getting-- 25% off for this, 5% off for that. After my discounts, cost was only $50 less that L'Image. I decided to go with L'Image as it was 20 minutes closer to my house and they has TVs in the treatment rooms, which Ideal Image did not. The atmosphere at L'Image was clean, professional and more luxurious than a chain facility. 11/16/18- I had two rounds, which overlapped by 50% in the middle. The procedure was only about a 3/10 on the pain scale and only for the first and last 10 minutes. It felt like brain freeze on your neck/chin/ back of head area in the beginning. I think the most painful pay (still only a 3) was the burning sensation when your skin started warming up again during the massage (think when you've been out in the cold snow, and come back in and your fingers are numb and warming up). Also, I did feel a little claustrophobic with the machine strapped to by head. I only have mild bruising which I could cover up with makeup. I was able to go out with friends for dinner and drinks the same day. 11/17/18- Some soreness and very mild bruise/discoloration. Middle chin where the CoolMini was overlapped has numbness and is sore (like after a workout). Pain is 1/10
My journey of correcting acne scarring with microneedling. After a major cystic acne breakout, and dealing with active acne, I want to treat the indented boxcar scars. I plan on doing the procedure 2-3 times. Updated on 10 Oct 2018: Updated on 20 Oct 2018: I experienced flaking on the 4-5th day and then after I exfoliated, revealed very smooth textured skin. I can’t wait to go again! No makeup and reduced acne scar pigmentation. No new pimples since microneedling too! Updated on 29 Nov 2018: I had my second micro-needling with PRP 3 days ago. The pain was less because I think I knew what to expect going in. However, this time it’s taking slightly longer to heal. The first time the redness was gone after 2 days, but I’m experiencing dryness and redness yet. Updated on 3 Mar 2019: After my 3rd session I invested in high-quality HA serum for the healing process which I was told would decrease healing time and improve results. I’m so excited to say that on my right cheek I am not seeing my strophic acne scars and I’m hoping the results stay! ??
