First time getting Daxxify - pleasantly surprised

I've been a loyal Botox girl for over a decade. I was skeptical to try this new injectable that claimed to be better than botox. However - I must say, I was pleasantly surprised to experience how fast acting this formula is compared to botox. I could see my results kicking in with in 48-hours. I’m going on 5-months post treatment and i'm still seeing the lasting effects of my treatment. In t...

Levy for Life!

I have been seeing Dr Levy for about 10 years. He is my "go-to" for fillers and botox. He is gentle and listens to me and offers advice when I truly need it. His work is good and I don't trust anyone else with my face.

Easy, and WORTH IT

I went to Dr Levy for the first time. I am 25 years old and wanted to get rid of my crows feet and one deep line across my forehead. Dr Levy made my experience easy, and educated me and where he would be injecting and what affect I should expect. Overall my experience was effortless and I am thrilled with the results. I will be going back

Q: A month after steroids and dissolver there's no change in my under eye bags. How do I get rid of them after Juvéderm? (photo)
Answered by Dr. LevyMarch 31, 2019

A: In general Juvederm ultra or ultra plus should not be used to treat the under-eye area because it is too hydrophilic, meaning it draws too much water into the tissues and risks creating a visible bubble or bag as you demonstrate in the photo. Prednisone does not help clear the bag, and steroids  should not be injected into this area because there is a risk of skin atrophy. Precise  injections of hyaluronidase, an enzyme that dissolves hyaluronic acid, works best. Good luck!

Q: How long should I wait after having Bell’s palsy to start injecting my face with Botox and fillers?
Answered by Dr. LevyMarch 31, 2019

A: I agree with the opinion that a neurologist should clear you prior to getting Botox after having Bell’s palsy. I recommend waiting at least 3 months after resolution of your symptoms.  Good luck!

Q: Wrinkles and veins and creepy skin around eyes. Can a CO2 laser correct this? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. LevyDecember 31, 2018

A: For your facial architecture and skin type, I recommend CO2 laser resurfacing followed by filler, 2-3 months after laser. This will yield max results. I’d also recommend a skin care regimen that includes a growth factor serum and hyaluronic acid eye cream.

Good luck!

Q: What would be the best for me: Halo laser or multiple micro-needling and IPL photo facials or blue light and levulan? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. LevyDecember 25, 2018

A: Of the options you listed the halo laser treatment would be best combined with continued use of topical retin-A. With a history of AKs and that type of discoloration you’d get even better results from a fractionated CO2 treatment. Good luck!

Q: Would laser hair removal prevent hidradenitis suppurativa?
Answered by Dr. LevyDecember 25, 2018

A: Yes, I’d start with a series of laser hair removal treatments. If that doesn’t work then consider Miradry. Miradry shuts down sweat glands which are part of the root issue with HS.

Good luck!
