I want to document my journey in getting a breast augmentation. It's hard to find information from taller/bigger women and wanted to share with others. Consulted with three surgeons, the first one I paid $200 for the consult and was very abrupt, told me how he's going to do the surgery, that there's only one way to do the surgery, and then said he couldn't do the surgery (minor ptosis). He rushed me during the consult and I had to physically stop him to ask questions. I probably wasn't going to go with him anyway as it seems he runs a chop shop and can do breast augmentations using a single method--anyone outside of that population are excluded. I went with Dr. Tony Mangubat at La Belle Vie Cosmetic Surgery in Tukwila, WA. He was patient and answered any questions I had (he was already on my list and the above unnamed surgeon actually referred me to him). We tried on sizers and thought the 800cc fit my frame best and gives me the look I have with my VS bombshell bra. He recommended subglandular (over the muscle) 800cc ultra high profile, transaxillary (he specializes in this approach) insertion, and we booked a surgery date for 21 April 2022. I have my pre-surgery consult two weeks before that date. I also don't like the size of my nipples and quoted $3k to make my nipples look normal. This will take place at least 6 months after my breast augmentation. I'll post pre-surgical photos at a later date. Updated on 13 Mar 2022: Posting some before pics to document my journey. I measure a 40 D, but my breasts are wide apart and don't look like a "D" cup. My heart is still set on the 800cc Mentor ultra high profile over the muscle. Well, I don't think I care about placement and have left that decision to my surgeon.
