Korman Plastic Surgery - San Jose

A bit of background information about me: I am in my late 20s, 5' 2", weighed in at 147 before the procedure, hit 10K steps almost every day, meal prep most of my food, and work out three to four times per week doing cardio and strength training. Why I decided to do it: after a couple of years, I went for it because I felt like I had “earned” it. I did as much as I could in those years to eat clean and to work out frequently, and while other parts of my body showed improvement, my midsection did not... It stayed bloated on a "good" day and a semi-circle on a bad day. This is my first cosmetic procedure of any kind, so I do not take what I did lightly. But I did it for the following main reasons: I had earned it after years of focusing on my health and fitness, I am leveling the playing field in terms of the number of fat cells I was genetically predisposed for (playing God if you will), and I wanted to use this as a shot of espresso to continue working hard to attain my health and fitness goals. The cost: You may find providers who will do one area for $600, but I would stay away from them. Go to the official CoolSculpting website and find credible providers near you. I went with Korman Plastic Surgery located in Mountain View who received the Diamond Crystal Practice award. His business only received this accolade because of the above-average volume of people who receive their procedure there. Above all, choose a place with years of experience, which this place has! Before the procedure: My CS technician, Patrick, used Sharpies to outline where to place the four applicators on me (two medium/standard ones on my upper abdomen and two large ones on my lower abdomen). He applied this thick-as-syrup gel paper per application area and placed it on the area. At this location, they had the most updated technology, so instead waiting an hour for each to complete, it was 35 minutes each. During the procedure: Oddly, the most uncomfortable part of the procedure was the first ten minutes where I was getting adjusted to the rather heavy applicators lying right on top of my pelvic bone. The first five minutes of it sucking onto me… going from some quick seconds of intense cold to eraser-on-your-skin heat… and the two-minute robust massage after the removal of applicators (deep breaths helped!) did not bother me much. Right after the procedure: My midsection felt quite sensitive. It was noticeably semi-swollen and red. Moving for the rest of the day was a challenge. Thank goodness I wore a loose-fitting dress since anything caressing over my midsection felt painful. In the first week after the procedure: It took me one full week to stop feeling sensitivity, numbness, and an occasional pins-and-needles sensation in my midsection. Since my procedure: I do my best to eat right, to exercise regularly, and to drink a lot of water. By September of 2018 (I did it back in July of 2018), according to my tape measurement, I had lost two inches from my midsection (and I’m almost certain that I have lost at least another inch since that time). My before-and-after pictures at Dr. Korman’s office confirmed what the tape measurement showed as well. Overall, my experience and results at Korman Plastic Surgery and with friendly, knowledgeable, and patient Patrick were immensely positive. I highly recommend to anyone who is thinking of getting CoolSculpting done to get it here.

Dr. Korman is very professional and his staff are extremely kind and helpful. I feel like I can return for procedures without feeling much stress or concern. I went into Korman Plastic Surgery for scar revision and also decided to try some cool sculpting. I had open heart surgery last year and I noticed it wasn't healing as well as I had hoped. There were a few raised areas, one in the middle was particularly bumpy. I was worried that they were keloid scars and I had heard those are difficult to correct. When I met Dr. Korman, he took a look at the scar and informed me that what I had was actually hypertrophic scarring which is much easier to treat. He reassured me that he could repair these areas without cutting the entire scar again. On the day of the surgery, he was very patient and kind with me. The team made sure I was comfortable and ready for the resection. During the procedure, Dr. Korman made sure that I had enough numbing agent so that I could not feel the cuts. He worked quickly and efficiently, I was home in no time at all. After the scabbing was gone I realized just how flat he made the scar look. He offered my steroid injections as a part of the surgical fee and explained that I had the option of using silicone bandages as well. Now, I am using Embrace silicone bandages that his nurse showed me how to apply. I will add more pictures, but I can't believe how much better it looks already. Next, the cool sculpting! WOW! I had heard about it on TV so when I learned that they offered it at Dr. Korman's office I decided to give it a try. I have always had a hard time losing the fat on my lower abdomen above my pelvis. I am generally thin, so my little pot belly seemed to be quite noticeable. After enduring a few embarrassing comments from others, I became pretty self conscious about it. I was always told that it was probably my posture but when I came in Dr. Korman, he told me that I could potentially lose an inch or so off the area but that I should make sure to strengthen my core and work on my posture as well. He and Patrick were so motivating to me that after the cool sculpting procedure, I really stepped up my exercise regimen. After the first month, I noticed the difference in my belly and it motivated me even more to continue to push myself. Now, after two months I can't believe how much different my stomach looks! I can see the definition in my abdominal muscles and I no longer feel like I have a pot belly. The cool sculpting clearly works and I feel so much more confident... just in time for beach season!

This review is for Dr. Kormans office in San Jose. After months of research and years of despising my double chin I decided to come in for a consultation to discuss my options. I decided to go with Coolsculpting since it was the least invasive with the least amount of downtime. My consultations was with Sarina. She explained everything clearly and answered all my questions. The procedure itself if uncomfortable but bearable. I started to notice results about a month after the procedure. Now, 7 months later, I am happy with the results. My chin fat reduced significantly .

Just did another amazing picoway treatment with Nicole, she is the best. I have consulted so many places in bay area for picoway, this san jose location by far is the closest one with reasonable price. She did anti-aging mode first on my full face followed by spot removal mode. My face was just a little pink after the treatment, and faded away in 2 hours.

I had an amazing experience at Korman Plastic surgery, with the Cool Sculpting procedure. I had a friend recommend the procedure to me, and it was everything that it was recommended to be. This is a great procedure if you're dealing with stubborn body fat; that won't go away with working out. Highly recommend this procedure.

You wrote a review for Korman Plastic Surgery 5 minutes ago 5.0 star rating 11/7/2017 I saw coolsculpting review at real self mentioning Serena as " the coolsculpting goddess". Many medspa now offer coolsculpting and a co -worker who is a doctor told me that he had coolsculpting and " it was the best money I spent ". His results are apparently excellent, so I got curious. I've always been fit, more on the slim side, but my problem area are my thighs. I went to a coolsculpting open house in a clinic in San Jose and I was not quite impressed because the doctor didn't seem to confident and the practitioner was a little awkward when they demonstrated the procedure. So I found a review touting Korman as a great coolsculpting clinic, and they are very confident of their results that they have 5 coolsculpting machines! Most clinics only have 1. I went to see Serena and I could tell she knew what she was doing. She was very knowledgeable and confident, she knows how to position applicators ( it is technique driven ) , and she was honest in telling me that my outer thighs did not need coolsculpting. My inner thighs were another story . If you're thinking of doing coolsculpting, I've done all the research for you . Go to Serena. Her pricing is to my knowledge, among the lowest, but the service is high end

I was very skeptical about doing CoolSculpting, but I am so incredibly glad I did! The results are truly amazing! Patrick was very good at making me feel comfortable, as well as answering all of my questions. I definitely recommend Coolscultping at Korman Plastic Surgery!
