My surgery was yesterday and I am totally swollen but I don't feel any pain at all. I am 54 years old now and my lips have always been small but they shrank and the area around my mouth didn't wrinkle well so when Dr Henry offered to do the top, bottom and corners all at once I immediately said yes. She originally suggested something more conservative in the size but I just watched "Wicked" on Amazon and I asked her to go for Ariana Grande lips. I asked her to go as big as she could without looking weird. She agreed to do it and I can't wait to see the final results!! Also Dr Henry and I spoke on the phone a few weeks ago about the corner lip lift and she told me that she can get rid of the way my nasalabial folds do this unattractive sideways V shape at the corners of my mouth. She call those "darts." I happily agreed and now I am eager to see how that turns out too. For now I am super swollen. Time heals all wounds. .. It is just a waiting game now. Updated on 9 Mar 2025: I am sorry I couldn't do updates until now but I have a couple of pics from last month and a bunch from today. My surgery was Feb 10th 2025 and today is March 9th 2025. A couple of my stitches popped and left open area that took longer to heal but the only open wound today is below my left nostril and that was a big one. I was scared that the side of my nose incisions were going to be deep but they are all healed now and they look perfectly normal. I started scar gel and silicone tape and I like the silicone tape better but I an just going to smother on both and hope for the best. I ate soup for a long time and after week two I picked apart subway sandwich and ate it in pieces but now I am on to easy to chew solid food. Healing time was fast. The whole thing was painless thanks to Tylenol!
Hello all! I am 8 day post op - I went with 425 cc mod profile silicone. My surgery went well and I've been healing well too. I'm just waiting for these babies to settle! They still feel so high and tight. Do they look ok for day 8? Thank you!
