I am only a week out from my third and final treatment and already see a huge difference in laxity, tightness and lubrication. Game changer after having three kids! Procedure was quick and painless.
Dr Bruce Katz was recommended by a friend of mine who does laser treatments with him. She told me to go to see him when Juva was offering 25% discount on all treatments. I called, and was told that I could go in for a consultation for $399 and if I have any service done on the day of the consultation or later, the discount would apply and the consultation fee would be deducted. I went for the consultation and after briefly talking to Dr Katz we decided to do botox on my forehead for $399 and restylane filling under my eyes for $865. A total of $1,011.20 with discounts. Before leaving the office, we set the appointment for the threads within a month. When the office called me to collect the payment for the threads, they wanted to charge the full price, without the agreed 25% discount. It was such an embarrassing and uncomfortable situation. A week later, after some back and forth calls, the office called saying that they were going to do a one time exception and give me the discount. Really?! After two weeks, I had to go in for the botox follow-up as it did not work on the full forehead. Dr Katz was not as friendly as on the first consultation and very quickly injected the botox and left the room. I did not feel him applying the needles on the places that needed the treatment so I asked the nurse if he did apply it on the places I mentioned and she said yes. Two weeks passed and the botox did not work completely on the forehead and I started to get worried about doing the threads with Dr Katz as I had asked many questions about the treatment and did not get clear answers. He doesn’t seem interested in talking to his patients to listen to their concerns. Well, today was the day I had set the appointment to get the threads done but instead cancelled it and went for the third botox touch-up. The nurse saw my forehead and said that it was not common to see it having to be applied 3 times-perhaps he needed to increase the dosage. Dr Katz come in to the room, looks at me and says that the area in the middle of the forehead and on top of the brows are part of a different muscle and it is charged separately. How did this doctor let me go home TWICE without mentioning that?!?! Doesn’t he care about the final results after a procedure is done?! Have I known it, I would have either included these “other” muscles on the treatment or walked away - why would I do something half-way only? Then he said “if you want we can do it now, it’s $499”. I said, no thank you, I am going to have it done but not here. I walked away and will never return.
